Your Daily Dose

Your Daily Dose of Weirdness!

So here's a little thing I'm doing. I'm going to write a weird, possibly cryptic, possibly nonsensical sentence every day as long as I can. Why, you ask? Cuz I'm bored. So here we go!

DAY ONE:

The printer gave a sharp buzz, like that of static radio, and then it burst into colorful light. The only thing left from the explosion was a piece of paper. On that paper was a drawing of a lightning bolt streaking through a brick wall. This paper is in the world. But another world is in this paper.

Plastic. It is. Material. It is not. As would many, as would few, the world burn before them.

Let us zoom in the scope of the universe. The Shopkeeper stands in his abode, selling to a man who resembles the moon. The man is buying a fire and paying with a fabric unlike you have seen. As the transaction is made a slight rumble shakes the ground. The Shopkeeper shrugs this off as this is a regular occurance for him. The man who resembles the moon chooses to exit in a way partial to the celestial. The Shopkeeper takes the fabric and places is in the Secure Place. Then he waits for the next customer.

Evening rises and the Shopkeeper tallies up his pay for the day. Four coin one fabric and a million other others. One such other appears to be glowing. The Shopkeeper knows what this means. He grabs his paper sword off the wall and opens the door to the cellar. He sprinkles a dab of pepper on the front step and then makes his way into the black, gripping his paper sword tightly.

Descent. Darkness The paper glows. Bones dot the floor staring with abyssal eyes. They were never alive to begin with. The Shopkeeper walks the corridors of his celar, searching for the thing he needs to find.

As the shopkeeper travels further, he notices a handprint on the wall;the print is bright green and appears to have slightly more fingers than the Shopkeeper's hand. The hand's digits are marked at the end with curled fingerprints of swirling arches. As he is inspecting this green print, a slow growl emits from behind him. It appears his target has found him first.

The low growl of Fate is followed by the cuzzing of fur and the severing of destiny. A paper is strong against the overbearing monster that is fate, but the hand that wields it must be stronger. The Shopkeeper is stronger than his paper. Fate is weaker than the Shopkeeper. Fate will no longer trouble the Shopkeeper as he explores the Depths further.
