Chatterbox: Down to Earth
On Thur
On Thursday night there was a airplane crash just by my house! It was so terrifying, and it was so close to some of the houses in my block they had to be evacuated. My brother and I were watching a movie and then we heard an engine and then a huge crash and an earthquake. Then the lights flickered. I thought that a car had crashed into a poll, but when we went outside we saw a huge plume of black smoke. We could even see part of the fire! It was really exciting. All the neighbours were outside watching the smoke. Then a police officer came and told us that a couple houses had to be evacuated; one of our neighbours stayed the night. Then there was a huge power outage, it lasted until noon the next day. I know that this post is kind of pointless, but I just wanted to tell you guys about it. Has anything like this happened in the area you live in?

Yikes. That sounds terrifying.

Wow, that is so scary! I can't believe you actually saw that... I'd be freaking out and crying in my bed if that had happened to me. Were the people in the plane okay?
Nothing like that has ever happened around where I live, but I get jumpy whenever I hear planes and helicopters, which does happen a lot where I live. A lot of them are even low-flying, and I get so worried they're going to crash into our house.

We were driving on the highway one time, and a (small) airplane practically fell out of the sky, barely made it over the van in front of us, and crash-landed in a field. It was scary.

Sadly the pilot and co-pilot didn't make it. it was only a transportation plane so they were the only people on the plane. Amazingly no one one the ground was hurt.

Wooaaahhh!!!! That's really scary!!!! Were the people in the plane all right?? Wow!! And no, nothing like that has happened in my neighborhood, or even Gorham... Oh, well, there was that time I told you guys about a while ago, where I saw that one house on fire, but it's a long story, and I'm too lazy to tell it again. :)

Wow, scary. The only thing of a similar sort that happened to me was once a hot air balloon came down in a field only one street behind ours. But compared to a plane crash, that is not a big deal at all. =P

Oh, gosh, that sounds so scary! But sort of exiting, too. I do hope that all the people in the plane were okay; do you know? I've had kind of similar instances. Once my friend's family had to stay over because of a major power/water outage, and I've been in several hurricane power outages.

Oh, nothing THAT scary that's for sure! My sign language teacher lives in a house where airplanes go right over! it's the perfect house for deaf people because when they do sign lanuge, they don't have to stop while the plane goes over! but i hope none of the airplanes crash... :( POOR YOU!

There's is an airport right up the road from my house. Thankfully, it's not big commercial passenger planes that land there, just little ones. But there r constantly airplanes in the sky. My baby sister, one of her first words, was bair-bane as she calls airplane since there are so many. It's really not that awful... I've grown used to it.
But that is frightening!! (I wanted to use a different word than scary which almost EVERYONE used!! :)
