I wrote this up a while ago, not sure if I really wanted another AE or not but now I think things with Trevor and Blaiyre have been getting rather dull to say the least. Hopefully a new friend will spice things up. Here is Hugh:

Name: Hugh Kendall (Not a sibling of Blaiyre and Trevor)
Age: #AEsAreAgeless, looks like he's maybe 19 or 20
Gender: Male
Speaks in: Italics
Personality: Very blunt. Likes to point out other's mistakes more than his own; however, he does have some shame. Hugh has a bad habit of speaking before he thinks (Ehem.), then usually regrets what he says later on (I do not!). Very dramtic (Thank you.). If there was an AE Theater Troup, he would be the first to join. Impulsive, most times also regretting his hasty descicion. Highly opinionated.
Appearance: Yellow-green eyes. Short-kempt caramel hair. He has a distinct 'swagger' about him. Tall, though not quite as tall as Trevor, maybe 5' 11". Dresses very dapper (which he has in common with Trevor), in corduroy slacks, a pull-over and bowtie.
Likes: Acting, speaking in fake western, French, and Spanish accents- Yee-haw, Mademoiselle! It ees non fake! It ees authentico!- Yeah, whatever. (Has a bad habit of combining all three into the same sentence, as you can plainly see- I heard that!) Annoying people, food, particularly all-you-can-eat-buffets, jokes, making people laugh.
Dislikes: Animals, people who don't make conversation, awkward silence, silence in general, play productions without intermissions concessions, using the word 'yeah'...It goes on and on.
What does? My dislikes or your droning voice? *tat-tat, bum, tish on the drum*

I, um. I'm sorry? I understand what you're saying, but I don't understand why you speak so harshly. Hugh was being Hugh, and Nymph was being Nymph. She took the questions, the doubt of her abilities, as a very personal insult and threat, and responded accordingly. But I wasn't controlling her. I try very hard not to do that. My AEs are a little different from yours. They write themselves. I wasn't trying to make a point. I'm sorry if we took it too far. But please, I--I thought you understood that...

Nymph is a queen. I am a queen, for that matter, but Nymph really acts like one. She takes care of her kingdom, spends all day most every day out there, in her woods, and she does get angry when people question her and tell her things like "you do not have the right". I think she might cry, too, if she had more of Sea Glass or me in her. She is my younger self, and she is a queen. She may be a drama queen. This has certainly been dramatic. Anyway, I think I'm very off track, but I've addressed everything that I can remember needing to. Sorry about the crying, I got really caught up in the moment and forgot what this was all about. I overreacted. Sorry. I don't think I'm going to read this through again... it's a bit much, and I'm still shaky. I get shaky when I cry. Or when I'm nervous. Ha, you should see me with stage fright. Or when I'm bleeding. I get shaky when I'm bleeding! Don't... watch me bleeding. *laughs awkwardly*
So yeah, let's end this train wreck of a post! *hits submit*

I'm not even sure what's happening anymore. I'm sorry if I seemed harsh. I had tried to end the Hugh/Nymph episode when he said no need to get violent. But that's the thing. I don't like being told I'm lesser than someone, anyone. Neither does Hugh. So then Nymph ordering him not to ask questions made him feel that he was being treated as an inferior and now this has dragged out. And while Nymph can be a Queen, and can take care of her kingdom, and shapeshift, she is not the queen of the Alter Egos.
I am sorry, this is stupid. If our AEs no longer want anything to do with each other, then that's fine with me! I'm asking for your apology for sounding rude and terse and I hope, if it's only between you and me, that we can put this silly little epsode behind us. What d'you say? *holds out hand*

I follow it, but of course I'm weird. I know you were trying to end it. I would've, but Nymph isn't me. I just noticed, her catching fire was an unconscious symbolic representation of her losing her cool to the point where it physically manifested. That was extreme wrath. Nymph was treating Hugh as inferior, to reassure herself. It was not right, it was not good, but it happened, because she is flawed, and arrogance, boldness and not being afraid of conflict are three of her--well, there are situations in which they're not all entirely bad, but in this case, they're three of her flaws. I've stated them as defining character traits on many occasions. She is a queen; that mindset followed her into this situation. She's used to being in power, and Hugh set her off balance. She didn't respond to that well. Their personalities clash in a way that leads to this sort of escalation. And she knew that. She said, "this guy's trouble". Maybe she's the one with the gift of prophecy... :3
I don't know what will happen if Hugh and Nymph meet again. This is what makes it risky, but after a while, their perspectives might change. I'd have to find out what Nymph thinks and how she feels about it. In the meantime, though, I really don't mind keeping them out of each others' way for a bit.
*takes hand* I forgive you, with my whole heart, but let's not forget. They say we study history so we don't repeat its mistakes; let's remember this so that if it starts again, we can stop it in its tracks.
