It's that time of year again! Who else is excited for Camp NaNo April 2018? I know I am!
The past couple of years we've had a CB cabin (a virtual writing group) for any CBers who are participating and want to be invited. I just created the cabin for this year on the Camp NaNo site, and I'll invite anyone who wants to be in it. Just give me your username (mine is Leeli on there, too, by the way. I wanted to change it once, but couldn't figure out how), and I'll send you an invitation! Feel free to give me the usernames of other CBers you know would like to be added, too, and I'll add everyone as soon as possible.

I’d like to try this this year...but my mom thinks it might be “dangerous” is it made where kids (specificily 11/12) will stay “safe” (my mom had me write this aughhh) does any1 know? I really want to do this. Admins/any1?
NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program (including Camp NaNoWriMo for Young Writers) is a website for kids 13 and under, so they are required to follow the law and keep your identity protected. They have a code of conduct and admins keeping their pages safe, but their admins don't read and edit every single comment as closely as we do, and their code of conduct isn't quite as strict as ours.
We generally recommend NaNoWriMo's Young Writers Program because we support their mission of helping kids write stories and novels, and CBers who have participated have had positive experiences. However, it is an online forum, so every family should approach it with caution and decide whether it is right for their kids. If your mom has questions about it, I recommend reading https://ywp.nanowrimo.org/pages/for-families and https://ywp.nanowrimo.org/pages/for-writers together so you can decide if this is a good website for you to participate in.
