Weddings!!
My dad's family is really huge, so the weddings in it are always really cool. (well, really any party with them is fun) :)
Anyway, Who else thinks weddings are fun? What do you like about them? What was the last one you went to? What's the next one you're going to?
I know this is extremely random... sorry. I'm a little bored, and have been thinking about weddings a lot lately cause my cousin is getting married in a few days!! EEEE!!!! It's very exciting!! Especially because, for the first time, for as long as I can remember, all of my cousins my age will be together!!!! It's so exciting!! Even the ones from Indiana are coming!!!!!
So anyway, odd thread, oh well! :)
See ya!!

Hmm... good question!
I've been a flower girl once, plus a 'half' flower girl another time!!! hee hee. Now I know what to call myself. :)

You think an ex-step-grandmother is a mouthful? I think my grandmother is my step-grandfather's 3rd wife, not 2nd - something I just found out recently. So the man I thought was his son is his step-son, making him my dad's... step-step-brother and my step-step-uncle (I barely ever get to see him - which is lucky because I wouldn't know how to address him), and seeing as he's married his wife would be my step-step-aunt, and they have two children, my step-step-cousins (but we just say cousins for simplicity and politeness, and call each other by our first names); one was the other flower girl and the other is 18 - if he gets married, I would have a step-step-cousin-in-law (I think)! Not to mention my full uncle married - and divorced - a woman with 2 children from another marriage, so I have 2 ex-step-cousins and an ex-step-aunt - and I have no idea whether her mother is alive or not, but if she is, I do have an ex-step-grandmother - I think. Family is confusing.

HOLY COW, I'D SAY SO!!!!!!!!!!!! SHEESH!!!!!!!!!!! That seems unnecessarily confusing!!!!! How do you keep them all straight? I do not envy you. :)

Phew. But I also have a bunch of ex-step-great-grandmothers and step-great-aunts and uncles and... still, I think your family takes the prize. :)

I just made a giant family tree and hung it on the wall. It went back to my great grandparents, and had everyone's middle names on it! I am so proud of myself... :D

I like to go to weddings! The only part I've ever played in a wedding was a person who passed out programs. And I was 5. So I don't really remember that. Weddings are so much fun! Everybody's happy + dee-lishous food!

Ok, so Meg's wedding was on saturday, and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The actual ceremony was nothing special, I could hardly see Meg and Eddie, and I'm not religious, and they are VERY, but the reception was PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG. HER DRESS. It was the most beautiful wedding dress I've ever seen, and it was so Meg!!! I mean, it was THE dress. There couldn't possibly have been a better one.
So, the reception was at this place in Brentwood (in NorCal, not SoCal) called Brownstone gardens, and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! There was a 'waiting area', which was the front garden, and then a little side yard for the little kids with a few games and a little blow up jumpy house, and then there was the dinning/dancing area. It was so gorgeous!! They had strung lights up in the trees, and the tables were lovely.
I don't dance. I don't listen to the kind of music they had there, but then my dad dragged me and my cousin onto the dance floor, and it was SOOOO FUN!!!!!!! We danced for HOURS!!!!!!!!!!! And I was in really high stilettos. Don't even get me started on how much my thighs and feet still hurt. (I had to take off my shoes after a while, so did a lot of my other cousins) But I have never had more fun at a wedding in my life. So then, after dancing for what must have been three or four hours, and us feeling like we could never stand again, we went BOWLING!!!!! At ten thirty at night!!!!! (or something like that) And stayed there until TWO IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!!!
And the weird thing was, we (my dad and brother and I) (My mom went back to the hotel after the reception with my aunt) were going to drive my cousins to the bowling alley, when I, and the two cousins we were driving, got swept into the limo with a bunch of other cousins, and no bride and groom which I thought was odd, and it was amazing! I'd always wondered what it would be like to ride in a limo!! And we met a new scottish cousin, named Brody (I think) with the coolest accent, and heard about his trip to America.
So, I was terrible at bowling, but had a great time, and then finally we went back to the hotel. I slept like a log.
So, sorry about this poorly written, extremely long post, I had to tell someone!! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you!! Oh, I wish you guys could have seen it. It was so pretty.
Hey Admin, if I blur out Meg's face, could I put a picture of the dress on here?
That should be all right.

I've only been to three weddings, two of which I was flower girl for. I was flower girl for my aunt's wedding when I was, like, three or something, then I was flower girl for my old babysitter's wedding when I was six or seven or so (she was my babysitter for a super long time and very close). Then I went to my dad's cousin's wedding when I was eight (I think), and all I remember is running around with my second cousin and playing hide and seek. We were pretty much the only kids there, besides my sibling and his sibling, so it was kind of boring....we didn't pay attention to any of the actual wedding stuff.

Really? I was 7 or 8 at the wedding I went to, and I paid a lot of attention...
