Probability........

Do you have a particular item or characteristic that's somewhat rare, or a fun fact on probability? Share them here!!! Anything that pertains to the subject of chances, probability, or rarity, belongs here.

I myself am a redhead, which is 1 in 100, but the chances decrease significantly if you also have blue eyes(which I do). However this information will also increase my chances of being guessed...... I won't say any more.

*high fives* I'm right handed-left eyed too! Righty-lefties for the win!

I have photic sneeze reflex, which means that exposure to bright lights make me sneeze. Moonfrost and my mom also have it, and whenever we get out of the car to go shopping we all start sneezing. It probably looks pretty odd to everyone else but for the longest time I thought the sun made everyone sneeze! The reflex is typically triggered by going from a relatively dim setting to a brighter one. It has a 'cooldown time' that can last as long as 24 hours. (But for me it's usually around 30 minutes.) Photic sneezing affects 18-35 percent of the population.

Wow, that's interesting! Sometimes if I feel like I need to sneeze and look at a bright light, it makes me sneeze, but I don't think that's quite the same thing.

Oh my gosh, that happens to me too!

That is so cool!!!

@Leeli, I didn't know cross-dominancy was so rare, but I am right-handed and left-eyed!!

@Cockleburr, I do believe I have ADD too.

@Silverwaxwing, and @Vyolette, I don't really care if someone guesses me or not, but I'm pretty sure that you two know who I am, so you may either reveal me, or let others try to guess.

This is probably the best post I've done yet!!!

Oh, ok! Has it been diagnosed, or do you just suspect you have it? If you ever need any tips for staying focused or working with and around ADD please feel free to ask me! I've had it since I was seven, so I've had a lot of time to figure out ways to get things done and even use my ADD to my advantage.

All right, here goes.

So the first thing that I was kind of surprised to learn is that having hazel eyes like I do is actually pretty rare. The estimation is that around 5-8% of the population have hazel eyes

I'm sort of a redhead. Sort of. I used to be completely, but now my hair is more of an auburn. So there ya go XD

The only other thing I can think of is that I get pediatric migraines. Apparently, it affects about 5 percent of children by the age of 15. So um..... yay? XD

Luna says "ryek" Rye.... wreck.... t-rex.... I don't even know anymore

Well, I'm really not that special, but there are a few things that stand out...

1. I have really straight teeth without ever having braces

2. I can wiggle my left pinkie toe on its own

3. I can raise both eyebrows seperately

4. I can ruffle my tongue -- three curves

Omgoodness. I can do those too! Well, I at least think my teeth are straight. And I can spread both pinky toes separate, plus all my toes at once, raise both eyebrows at once, and triple-roll my tongue! That's so cool!

I can't do the tongue thing, but I think that I can do the pinky toes if I tried really hard! After a long time spent staring at the mirror, I can finally raise one eyebrow while keeping the other down! Only my right one, though. I also have freekishly straight teeth! It's weird, because all of my family have really bad teeth (Well, with the exception of my brother. He has crooked teeth, but has never got a cavity in his life!), and mine are super straight! I have inherited my Dad's slightly-longer-than-normal canines, but other than that, they look great on the outside! But then I have deep pits like my Mom, so I get cavities very often, and have a slight under-bite. If I ever neede braces, it would not be to straighten my teeth, but to fix my bite. Bleh. Being at the dentist gives me the creeps.

I have synesthesia (the word cricket is leaf green), OCD (which is really annoying, I have the fire/harm consequence mentality, which means that if I don’t compulsively fix something, something will either light on fire or hurt someone or myself) ADHD (Yeesh, don’t even get me started on my focus issues. Let’s just say I also get bored easily), and I am ambidextrous. I switch between left and right hand/side often.

I don't think I'm very rare. The only thing is that I have.. um... *Googles it* I think it's called exotropia, in which one of my eyes sometimes turns out (i.e. my left eye is looking forward and my right eye is looking to the side), but I did Vision Therapy for a while and now have an extreme level of control over my eyes, so that when it happens I can bring it back in. I'm not entirely sure what the statistics are?

@Kitten, I used to have that too, although I called it a lazy eye. XD

Oh goodness, I have a lot of weird things happing with me!

1. Dimples- my grandpa had them, and my cousin, but neither of my parents. I know it's technically a facial deformity (lol) but I think they're kind of cute.

2. I can wiggle my ears.

3. Almost every joint on my left hand is double jointed- I can pop them all out of place, it looks so weird O.o

4. I have snapping hip syndrome, in both hips, meaning I can kind of pop my hips out of place. It sometimes happens unvolutarily when I'm running, dancing, or climbing, and it can hurt a lot if I'm not prepared.

5. Apparently only 2% of the world has green eyes? Which I have?

6. I'm a visual spatial learner, which basically means I think in pictures rather than words. I don't how common that is...?

@Bluebird, oh yeah! You reminded me- I’m pretty much double jointed everywhere too, and I can pop my shoulder, my hip, and other joints in and out of place.
