Are AEs still

Are AEs still a thing?

So, I was doing a bit of searching around CB trying to find an old thread(The one where MP was first introduced, if you're wondering. I was in a history sort of mood.) And I kinda got a little nostalgic about AEs, BLASTER and MP in particular.

So I checked around modern CB and I noticed they aren't as loud as usual. I'm only really able to find them on Ski Lodges, and I remember in their prime they use to be literally everywhere. I mean, the ones that do exist are pretty loud, but they're just loud only on certain threads.

I don't really mind, per say, I'm just curious. Did something happen in the time I was gone? Because I don't even see AE crush threads anymore.

I don't know very much about this myself as I've only been on here for, hrm, four months, but here's what I've gleaned from everyone else's conversations, though mostly from the ever-helpful Ultimate Guide:

Thought I don't even know if you were here for this time or not, Danie. I guess that there was a major AE War. Not just a fun, "Woowhoo lets throw pies in everyone's faces!" kinda war. AE's had no limitaions to where they were specified to appear at, and people started getting frustrated that, even when they did specify that no AEs where allowed, they still showed up in threads that they were not meant to go on. There was a war. Then there were a set of rules created, that no one HAD to obey, but were kinda led to in that direction. And AE crush threads are things that the Admins (I think?) don't really encourage, just because of how wild, and crazy and sometimes (I have not experienced this myself) how hurtful they can escalate to.

AEs still exist, at least I very much hope so. They just may not be that AEs that you remember? Then again, I may be completely wrong and not talking at all about what you posted about.

Yes, AEs are still a thing but we made some rule-ish things a while back about when and where to use them. I didn't pay too much attention because I don't generally get involved in AE stuff, but the gist was that AEs should be used on specific, AE allowed thread so that they don't get out of control and upset the balance of the force. There hasn't been too much AE stuff recently, but I'm sure that's just a phase.

Tip Top!

@Vyolette, If you're talking about the war I know(There's been many) that happened a while while ago. I'm talking about, say, a few months ago.

@Cockleburr, I'm just going to assume that you're right about it being a phase. I remember the last time rules where set it didn't stop AEs that much(I mean they now had specific threads but there were many specific threads).

See, I knew I got it wrong...oh well.

AEs are still around-just those who had "famous" AEs, or who had AEs that would create problems and drama, are not really around anymore.

Yeah, AE's have gotten kinda dry.

Here's a little tidbit;

Has anyone noticed that most AE threads are crush threads and ball threads nowadays? We haven't had adventures in a long time.

Yeah, I have noticed that. The crush drama stuff was fun when Joan and I first started it, but I've gotten bored of it, and so my AEs have... drifted off, I guess. It's also partially because most of the AEs that mine were friends with are no longer active. I'd like to bring them back, though, I've missed them.

I have been noticing this lately. I think that Cockleburr is right, though, that it's just a phase.

My AEs never really got very involved, and I never really did much with them.
