My dad lost
My dad lost his job today... they gave him 40 something days at his workplace to find another job in the company, and after those 40 something days, they give him some money and have him find another job. :( I'm so sad. I told my dad that he should be a publisher, so he can publish my book! :) :) Anyways, wish him luck!
Good luck to you and your family. I hope things turn around soon. I'm sure your support will help your dad feel better.

I'm really sorry, Maggie. :( *sad smile* My dad's unemployed too... only thing is, he never really was employed. I don't really get it, but his job isn't very solid is the point. :( I hope things get better for you and your family.

I'm sorry, Maggie! I'll pray for you and your family. And you aren't the only ones. Some of our best friends might have to move to Texas so their dad can get a job again. :( Anywho, yeah, like Old Cricket said, support your dad as much as you can.

Maggie, I'm so sorry!!! I'll pray for your family and I hope your dad finds a job soon. It's times like these that make me feel guilty that no one in my family can get laid off or lose their job. We're self-employed, so unless my dad fires my mom, (which won't happen, I'm sure), both of my parents have jobs. It's also a slim, slim chance my sisters will get fired. I wish you the best of luck!!!!!!!!

self-emplyed sounds like hard work! Yeah, my dad is networking, I think that means he's looking for a job. I don't know, haha. Hopfully there's another job at his workplace (he has to find one in 40 something days!) because he's been there for 19 YEARS! I think, so yeah. He didn't really get fired, exactly, I don't really get it, but I guess that there were already soo many people working for that part, they had to let go a few people. So dad wasn't the only who lost his job!

So he got laid off- it had nothing to do with him, so try not to take it personally (though that'd probably be hard, considering). I'm sure everything will turn out for the better. :)

Yeah, I understand. I just hope that he keeps working at 3M! He really likes it there! He's networking now... only 43 days to find a job at 3M! Has anybuggy heard of 3M?

Ohh, I'm soo sorry Maggie!!! :( I really, really hope that he can find another job soon!! Right after my dad sold the Subway restaurants he owned (mmm... Subway...), it became really hard to find a job, so he was obviously unemployed. After about a year he got a job working with the government, but the job was only temporary, so he's out of a job again. He may be able to work for them again in the fall, but that's pretty unlikely, so yeah, my dad's unemployed, too...

Yeah, my dad was out of work for a year,
I think. He and his brothers had a shop
that sold car parts, but business was getting
slow, so they had to shut it down :\ Anyway,
he just got a new job, thankfully. Try not to
worry about it too much, Maggie. There's a
good chance that he'll find a job somewhere. :)
