Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Okay, before I start talking I want to give everybuggy a huge, ginormous hug.

Hey everyone!
I haven’t seen you guys in so long! In fact, the computer didn't even remember my name and I had to type it full out. It's not a big thing, but it means a lot considering how much time I used to spend on this website.
*Cries*
I’m making this thread for a few reasons, including commenting on the last two Cricket magazines.
I’m so psyched I got into the September issue! I actually first read Fairy Wings when I was seven because of the title, when my dad and I went to China. I read it again last school year, and only then noticed how many hidden themes were in there! The symbolism, foreshadowing, all those literary devices. It’s a shame the title shoos away readers that are at the age to really appreciate it. I see Leafpool’s read it, though! ;) And I was super happy about the comic and the Old Cricket Says in the October one. I love Monkey King! It was cool how the author tried to fit it into the Asian American experience and all, I really appreciate it. I guess it doesn’t resonate with me because it took me a while to figure out you were supposed to feel sorry for him, as he’s usually portrayed as annoying.
Since that last paragraph took up quite a bit of space, I’ll make my update on my real life quick: I started a writing a novel at the end of summer, I recently started a short story that's turning out to be quite long, in dance my oversplits aren’t doing great but I’ve almost got my straddle. I’m also setting a lot of goals and really trying to push myself in a lot of areas of life.
And that brings me to the main purpose I made this thread: Goals.
I’ve been reading many things on how to set good goals and achieve them. One thing I see a lot is having people to hold you accountable. I’ve been thinking, why not make a thread where we can tell each other some mini-goals for accountability?
Rules:
1) They have to be small. For example, I won’t procrastinate on my homework for one day. Small goals are a lot less daunting.
2) Make it about the process, not the outcome. Not: I want to get my ___ split, but: I will stretch for ___ minutes every day for a school week.
3) Be realistic.
4) Most importantly, encourage others. You came here for support, so obviously you’ll do the same for the rest of us!
I love you guys. ❤

MEI!!! *hugs* It's so good to see you! How are you?
I will set a goal for this week:
Practice my soccer drills at least one hour per day. I really need to get this started because I have a long term goal of getting 50 tap juggles in a row by the end of the year. Good idea, Mei!

I'm great!
Good luck on practicing soccer! Have you practiced that long today?

Hey, do you remember a looooonnnng time ago when you were annoyed at me because I used the "reply" button to make comments instead of the "comment" button? Probably you don't but...I FINALLY figured it out a couple months ago and I've been waiting to tell you for a while! It took me almost two years but I GET IT NOW!!!! Wow, good for me! XD I finally understand the whole commenting/vs/replying thing and how the replies are smaller than the comment they're replying to and all that. :) It's something weird to say and it makes me sound immature, but I'VE FIGURED IT OUT NOW! I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THE CB NOW!!!
