Reintroduce Yours
Reintroduce Yourself
'Ello everyone, today I feel like reintroducing. Not just myself, but maybe we all write an "about me"! For one, many of you peeps don't know me too well, and I don't really know a ton about you. Same goes for a lot of the older ones here who aren't too active so reintroductions could be nice. Say whatever you want - why you have your name (although there is already a really epic thread for that), hobbies, whatever you want. Just enjoy and get to know all another once more! I'll start:
Hello, everyone! My name is Ashlee, and I am your fellow intense Whovian and Potterhead. I swear I will get you to love both if you don't already! I am also about to get into Sherlock, which I know for a fact I will love. I am a big gamer (COD, AC, and such) and even watched an entire world championship for a game I don't even own, just because I wanted to learn the maps. Cheers to OpTic gaming (they won the HWC) and Team Liquid! You guys are awesome. I live in a tiny town of 400, homeschooled, and have four younger siblings (a bro and 3 sisters). I am also a big computer nerd. History nerd. Everything nerd! Not to mention human/nature photographer, artist, writer, and avid reader. Believe it or not, I don't think I've ever read Cricket before, although I used to read Faces and Stone Soup (not by Cricket, but Faces is). Mmm... yep, and I am also happy to say I've been here since I was 9, back in 2010. Cheers! Nice to meet you all. Alsoooo, I am your fellow Monkwee and coder, which you shall learn about soon enough! *Cough cough*

Cool idea, Ashlee!
Hey, all! I'm Cockleburr! I've been on the CB for a year and I love it! I enjoy writing, drawing, and reading. My obsessions include Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, Percy Jackson, and Sherlock. LOVE. SHERLOCK. The books are excellent and the show is amazing! I'm a Hufflepuff and my Camp Half-Blood cabin is Posiden. I get Cricket magazine and have gotten it for six years. I have kept every Cricket magazine I ever recieved.
I have four pet chickens and I want to be a marine biologist or an artist. Or both! Or a medical illustraitor so I can combine the two! Science and art! I love being outside. I do a TON of gymnastics (sixteen hours a week!) and I'm a level 6, but I'm really hoping to get to level 7 this year. I have been published in Cricket three times.
(September 10, 2017 - 11:23 am)
Hi, Cockleburr! I have nearly every single cricket I have ever received. Do you like to read through them all every year or so? I do. It's my favourite thing to do!!
(September 10, 2017 - 4:54 pm)
Yeah, I do! I love rereading the old stories and looking at the covers! Sometimes when I'm not in the mood for a book I'll just pick out a Cricket magazine and read that instead.
(September 11, 2017 - 9:33 am)
This is cool! I'll try to find time to introduce myself sometime in the next couple days.
@St.--I get Cricket, and our family gets Muse. But it makes me sad because it's not as good as it used to be. And I got Spider a looooong time ago. Our family has boxes and boxes (and boxes and boxes) of old Crickets, Muses, and Spiders.
(September 10, 2017 - 11:55 am)
'Sup, everyone!
Yeah, 'sup.
I figured since we were intorducing ourselves I could also introduce my AE, Zoey. But I'll go first.
My name is Starseeker. If you don't already know how I got my name, it's kind of a long story, and I would reccommend you check out the Names thread. I live in The-Middle-Of-No-Where, Kansas (it's a suburb outside of Kansas City ;) ), and I share a house with a sibling (an older sister named Poetic Panda, if you guys remember her from a while back) and an adorable mutt, Buddy. I am a very intense Trekkie, (mostly the Next Generation but I like all of it!) but I like other things too, such as Sherlock (Ashlee you will love it!), Star Wars (but Star Trek is better!), Wings of Fire, Ranger's Apprentice, Throne of Glass, Six of Crows, and so on. Like Ashlee, I am pretty much an everything nerd-- everything but geography, that is! Ugh, I dislike it sooooo much. I don't even know why. If you haven't already noticed, I love art of all kinds, reading, origami, reading, dreaming, reading, and writing. Did I mention reading?? I also play two instruments fluently, the clarinet and the tenor ukulele. (Technically I also play the soprano uke and concert uke just as well, because it's the same fingerings but a slightly differently sized instument, but I own a tenor).
My turn! My name is Zoelaira Estebelle Griffon-- just Zoey, for now. I'm the main character in Starseeker's book, which is called Take Wing. It is on NaNoWriMo Young Writer's Program and the Inkwell, if anyone wants to read it! I love reading, swordplay, and epic oufits. I also love flying through clear skies on my wings. What I HATE, though, is magic training. Skies above, it's the worst. I used to live in Boston and go to Northbrook Academy, but ever since that fateful day a few years back, I've been living in the magical realm of Lydianzaa. Starseeker pulls me out someimes, though, because she needs me here. What would she do with out me?
Have less mirrors? Not have to replace delicate things every day beacuse of your clumsy wings?
Oh shush. It's not my fault I was born with such a beautiful face! It's not every day you find long black hair and clear blue eyes like mine. Not to mention my perfectly pale complexion. As for the wings... touche.
This is me, and my slightly-- ever so slightly-- insane AE.
~Starseeker & Zoey

@Starseeker
Could you please post the link to Take Wing? It sounds really good!

Wazzup peeps! I'm Will (Or Princess Pony) I was on CB 2013 through 15, buy took a leave of absence last year. I too live in the Middle-Of-Nowhere (A tiny town in the farmlands if Georgia). For people who don't know about Georgia much, just remember we have four seasons, Summer, Slightly less than summer, Freeze your face off, then Almost summer. (Weird meteorology. Really hot. XD) The most snow we have had in years was back in 15 when it snowed 3 inches. And they literally shut down Atlanta because there was 'too much snow for operation.' XD But I'm a avid reader and magazine writer, enjoy sports (primarily golf and taekwondo), play the piano, and fly drones. I am a diehard science fan, but can't do math worth a flip, and yesh. I'm trying archery this year, but I've almost skewered multiple people so we'll see. My favorite bands are Owl City, For King and Country, and then for some reason Skillet. (Quite the contrast to the previous two XD) I love the outdoors, and like everyone else, I love HP, LotR, Kingdom Keepers, and the Wildwood chronicles. Nice officially meeting y'all!

Gi Suilon! I'm aspiring film director General Waffleson, or as some call me, Phez Head (I prefer the former). I live in a small-ish town in northern Georgia, but I used to live in Durham, England, so that's why I draw my f's weird and use weird spelling like 'centre'. I'm currently 12 (as far as I know) but I have been mistaken to be 13 before (which I will be in october). I like a lot of music, but I'll just give the pillars that make up the pantheon. Those pillars are Imagine Dragons, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, The Police, Coldplay, The Killers, Mumford & Sons, The White Stripes, Stevie Wonder, Cage the Elephant, Led Zeppelin, U2, Linkin Park, AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, Bastille, Pink Floyd, Foster the People, Queen, Green Day, The Beatles, and Twenty Øne Pilots. Told you there was a lot. I'm a gigantic nerd, but my biggest movie fandoms are Marvel (Comics too!), Star Wars, and Star Trek, my biggest TV fandoms are Assassination Classroom, The Flash, and Doctor Who, and I play so many different video games I can't even sort them into fandoms (same goes for books).
I have three brothers, and have never so much as picked up a cricket magazine in my life. I like doing Shakespearian Smackdowns, and gotten pretty OK at old english insults. I have gone under multiple pseudonyms (Including a Cumberpatchian mispronunciation of the word Penguins), and am currently in a secret bunker 20,000 leagues under the sea. I don't think I've actually made a intorduction thread before, so this technically isn't a re-introduction, but WHATEVER. I doesn't really matter.
I have three AE's, Rosemary (the introverted bookworm girl who speaks in bold italics), Very Bad (the AE I really need to work on the personality for who speaks in bold), and Jamie (The sarcastic 80's nerd with the annoying habit of yelling/shouting "IT'S ON LIKE RED DAWN!" whenever he gets pumped up that speaks in italics). My CAPTCHA is an 8-year old Toucanicorn (Toucan + Unicorn) named Kilp.
Goodbye now, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
(September 11, 2017 - 11:07 am)
I seeeee a rock faaaaaaan
You have an excellent music lineup there, I must say. What's your favorite David Bowie song?
(September 11, 2017 - 7:17 pm)
Oooh... probably Under Pressure.
(September 16, 2017 - 1:02 pm)
@General Waffleson
I had no idea anyone on here knew Mumford & Sons. I also like AC/DC and Twenty One Pilot. Which is your favourite song?
(September 15, 2017 - 1:14 am)
Well, SURPRISE!!!
My favorite Mumford & Sons song is Babel, my favorite AC/DC song is Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, and my favorite TØP song is either Riiiiiide or Heathens.
(September 16, 2017 - 1:05 pm)
@Will
I've always wanted to try archery- how is it?

Hello! I'm Viola?. I sometimes get questions about my name, so before anyone asks, no, I'm not Viola like the instrument, and the question mark is there because when I first chose this name I was considering a number of pseudonyms and so put it there to indicate that it might not be the name I would go with in the end.
I like too many things to list here... Oh, whatever.
-Virtually anything to do with paper, but almost never anything someone else suggests.
-Cats. Dragons. A lot of animals. Not monkeys. Not dogs.
-Being weird and random.
-Not feeling awkward.
-Reading, writing and drawing, mainly reading and drawing.
-A lot of music, but no particular bands or artists or even genres. I defy your categorization systems!
-A lot of art, but also not really any art sometimes. Again, defying standard categorization systems.
-Functional, practical and mechanical things.
-Stuff from before the Internet was invented/widespread.
-Plants and trees and knowing what they are and what they can be used for.
-Knowing stuff in general.
-Being awake to see the sun rise.
-The hour of two in the morning.
-Basic origami.
-Fire, smoke, water, and various other non-solids.
-Climbing trees.
-Breathing.
-Laughing.
-Yoga and meditation.
-Dreams.
Yeah, this is getting way too long. I'm going to stop.
I have really long nails and trouble with chronological memory. I'm probably going to be a freelance artist/illustrator when the time comes that I need to have a job. I have approximately zero social skills, so it's probably going to be Internet-based, even though I only do traditional art...
I watch a lot online, but I still have no idea about most popular things, and I don't particularly want to. Celebrities and people's obsession with them confuse me. I like being weird and disconnected, except for when it interferes with life. I may secretly be part cat. I read a lot of books and webcomics, spanning almost the entire fiction genre. I am very tall and I love it and I hate it.
That's enough about me. I am a very strange but hopefully pleasant individual, and you will get to know the rest with time.
(September 11, 2017 - 2:50 pm)
@Viola
Do you like embroidery?
