Hi!! I'm Violet (but feel free to call me Vi). I've been on the CB...off and on for quite some time, using different names (I used a nickname based on my legal name for around 13 years, and then I chose a name I thought would fit the way I perceived my gender at the time, and then that changed and now this is my name). I'd prefer not to disclose names I've used previously here, because I was really young (I think in my earliest comment I was around 10-11) and, quite frankly, embarrassing.
I live with...a lot of symptoms, some of which fit neatly into boxes (= hydrocephalus, chronic pain, Chiari malformation) and some of which are just...a mess (= various mental things that I don't feel comfortable talking about so publicly. I was in the IBMYP program from 6th grade through 10th grade, but I won't be continuing on to the Diploma program due to mental health concerns.
Now on to the fun stuff!! (a.k.a. where I force y'all to read about my incredibly boring life)
- I was raised Reform Jewish!!!! By my dad!!!!!! Who is a convert!!!!!! And I'm going to the mikvah in a few months according to the junior rabbi at my synagogue, who's been leading my (greatly accelerated due to my Reform upbringing) conversion. Talk about hype.
- I'm approaching my 5-month anniversary with my significant other, whose name is Ash.
- I HAVE A JOB THAT HAS CONSISTENT HOURS AS OF YESTERDAY!!! (= July 7 2017)
- Before that, I worked at a cooking camp with my dad, which was fun, but my supervisor scheduled me...very rarely.
- I write poetry...so much poetry. I desperately want to link to my writing blog, but I'm fairly certain the Admins still don't allow linking to external social media profiles.
- At the start of the next school year, I will have been taking Latin for 6 years.
- The most extra thing I've ever done was the time I made a project about Roman graves with my person being buried whose name was like... Julia Mania whatever and she was "survived by her loving wife." I think that's when my Latin teacher knew, like super extra No Doubt About It knew, but there's no telling.
- I despise punctuation. And capitalization. And, occasionally, grammar. Typing all proper to give the Admins less of a headache is making me feel like a different person, haha.
I think that's enough for now... It'll give y'all some stuff to talk about. Hope to talk to y'all soon!!!
P.S. When will Vi tone down her Southern mannerisms? Probably never.

Whattt?? There is so much to know about you, Violet! I know you said not to mention your previous names, but I am just curious, were you "Viola?" or is that someone else?
Seriously, 6 years of Latin? That is awesome! I took Latin for a few years - two perhaps - but I don't know a ton. Is that the main language you are learning? Congrats on your 5-month anniversary and now constant-job! Yeah, I don't have any fancy job. Contract yard work one, some babysitting, odd ball yardwork. But out where I live, there are no stores or anything so you can't work a regular you know, human job. Wow, so much, though! It sounds like you have a pretty awesome life. Plus Reform Jew? Neato!
I'm pretty sure that Violet and Viola? are different people.

I am not "Viola?". My previous names were very different. Latin is the main language I'm learning, yeah!!! I love it. I'm going to be working as a hostess at a restaurant, which will be a very new experience for me. YES Reform Judaism is...like I don't want to be snooty and say it's The best branch of Judaism, because religion is a very individual experience and it just happened that the branch of Judaism I grew up with was the one in which I'm most comfortable.

Yes, I am a different person from Violet. I was going to say, perhaps I should change my name to avoid confusion. I was considering it anyway, so it's no trouble.
