You got a parakeet! I LOVE parakeets! I have two, actually and they're super cute and easy to take care of. They can be a little bit loud/messy, though. :P

Wow! Congrats! That is AWESOME and I'm super happy for you! I got my first parakeet, Winter, five or six months ago, and she's great. I haven't once regretted adopting her. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask me! I trained Winter myself and I think I know a lot of the basics of budgie care, and can tell you some tips and toy DIYs as well. I love the name Francis, btw. What color is he?
