Happiness Challenge!
Happiness Challenge!
I'd like to challenge all of you, yes, all of you, to partake in the happiness challenge! It's extremely simple, just post one or more things that make you happy every day!
I'll post mine when this thread shows up <33
Also, @Admins, feel free to participate in this too! :))
The sound of birds chirping in the trees outside my window when I first wake up!

Playing board games, especially long ones like Monopoly and Risk that take all day.
(July 6, 2017 - 10:58 am)
The sound of thunder.
Every time I hear it, whether it's messing up plans or not, I get a happy jolt and this warm, cozy feeling. I don't know why, but I appreciate it either way.

Being barefoot outside. Anywhere, it doen't matter what kind of surface it is, hard soft, in between. I just like it for some reason. It feels great.

- Cleaning things when it's so easy that the difference you make is immediately visible, like dusting when you watch the dust just disappear.

Reading in bed with a pile of blankets even though it's summer

My fur babies. :-3
@Admin, I love to wake up to the sound of birds chirping, especially if it's my parakeet! Although sometimes they wake me up earlier than I'd like. XD

@Dandelion, YAAS. Barefoot in summer.
When I step out the door, and look at the way the hills roll with the forest tucked between them, and the old grey barn at the bottom of the hill, and then I climb over the fence and just run letting the wind blow through my hair.

Earl Grey ice cream— there's a place that sells it near my house, and it tastes just like froot loops! It's really weird!

The happiest (future) thing I can think of is the CA road trip I'm taking with my significant other in 2020 when they graduate. We're going to visit my aunt and uncle and their son, along with some friends.
The happiest thing I can think of now is...my significant other. No, really! But aside from them, I'd have to say one thing that makes me happy is reading. I've been reading a book a day (sometimes more) all summer.

I didn't see this thread until now!
A visit to the library!

I missed many days so I'll do a few.
-Thunderstorms (while indoors)
-freshly laundered sheets
-warm blankets
-the feeling after you got everything you needed to get done
-reading a new book after spending time with family
-getting packages for you
-getting mail for you
-hearing someone say something nice about you that you weren't supposed to hear
-petting a warm animal while it sits in your lap, looking lovingly up at you
-the sound of a heron making heron noises (crowing?)

When you finally get the courage to talk to a certain person, and you end up having a decent conversation and joking a lot.

Oh gosh I have so many of these, now that I think about them. I'll just do a few now and come back tomorrow with more.
I live in a place that's really wet for every month ecxept summer (yep, that totally made sense) and when I was in elementary school we would all get so excited when it started to rain during recess for the first few rains.
I have also always loved when it's super wet out and you are just warm and dry inside and looking out at the wet and you just feel so content.
I absolutely love sitting by the fire and listening to my family talk, not nesicarily joining in the conversation, but listening to it.
Almost every year we go camping on the same beach and it's like my favorite place ever because every year the winter storms have changed the layout of the logs on the beach and so it's always new and different but also the same, the same sound of the waves pounding on the beach, the same huge rocks that are in the water at high tide, the fact that sometimes you'll find a log that you recognise from a year or two before. There's also this huge rock that juts out into the water except at low tide and has a big hole in it that you can climb through and there are a ton of tidepools that are really cool. See if any of you can guess where this is.

Taking early morning showers
(July 9, 2017 - 1:49 pm)
To add on to that: REALLY HOT early morning morning showers in the middle of winter.
