AE Theatre Solo Write

“Anna!”

Anna took a quick peek at her clock. 6:04 a.m. She moaned and stuck her head back under the pillow.

The call came again, louder this time. “ANNA!!!”

Anna sighed, jumped out of bed, pulled a sweatshirt on over her pajamas, and headed downstairs to complete chaos.

Elementgirl was sitting at the computer, ferociously typing something up. Katharine was chasing Connie around the kitchen for stealing some chocolate chips, and yelling to Lisbeth how to make a pancake. Lisbeth was failing miserably. Suddenly, they all stopped what they were doing and turned to look at Anna.

“Oh, it’s just you,” said Lisbeth, and went back to flipping her lopsided pancake. Katharine and Connie started running again, but EG walked over to Anna.

“Good, you’re here, lazybones!” she said. “Can you do me a favor?”

“What favor?” asked Anna, still rubbing sleep out of her eyes.

“Put these all over the place. Trees, telephone poles, stores, libraries…. Everywhere that some AE or another would look. And please finish before noon.”

Elementgirl nimbly pushed Anna out the door and handed her a stack of fluorescent green papers.

“Sorry about the color, it was all I could find. Now go!”

As soon as EG had disappeared back into the house, Anna unfolded one of the brightly colored papers and read what the flyer said in fancy script:

CALLING ALL AES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The auditions for the musical ‘Into the Woods’, produced by the CB City AE Theatre Co. and directed by EG Elementa, will be held on July 18, 2017, at the Pudding Theater .

Anna smiled, pocketed the note, and hopped on her bike for what was sure to be a long ride.

Okay, this isn't quite what the title suggests. I just had an idea!!

You: Uh oh, elementgirl just had an idea.

Me: Say what you like, but this is IDEARIFFIC idea. Ideariffic? Ideatastic? Ideamazing? I really don't know XD. But anyway....

My idea was.... *drumroll*

What if our AEs put on a musical? I think something like this has been done before, but it was before my time on the CB. So, here's the order of procedure:

1: I choose a play/musical

2: You post your AEs' charrie sheets and who they will be auditioning for.

3: I write the auditions

4: I judge auditions/ choose parts

5: I write rehearsals and the performance!

Into The Woods! It was The Sound Of Music last time, but that never really caught on. So I'm trying something with fewer roles. Here are the roles:

RULES:

1: This is ONLY FOR AES. No CBers allowed. Sorry, guys.

2: Your AE(s) may not get the part they want. I'm very sorry if this happens, but I can't give everyone the same role. If there were only one lead doing the whole play, it wouldn't be that good, would it?

3: Very importantly, THIS IS NOT AN RP. I WILL BE WRITING THIS AS A STORY.
