Chatterbox: Down to Earth

7th CBversary!!!

YESSS!!! I have made it seven years with you guys, and I couldn't be happier. The reason why? Well, let's get to the point, folks: you all. Every single one of you. If you threw me on a typical forum board filled with rude, stuck up people and spammers, I'd be like, "Uhh... Yeah. See you guys later." No, not here. This place is the light in the corner, the light on the hill of the wide, wide internet. You guys have brought out the best in me, my kindness and compassion and happiness. And I love seeing the best in you all as well.

Seven years ago I joined - 2010. I don't have a specific date, but I know it was late June or early or mid-July. Basically, sometime between June 20th-July 20th. Seven years ago. I was 10! Wait, no, that'd make me 17. xD I was 9! Yes, yes. 9. Good old 9 years old. I think. :D

Anyways, there are some people who really stuck out as amazing individuals. Back in 2010-2012 there so many: TNO, Joe the Stickfiddler/Joe Dosie Doe, BHR, and many, many more. TNO started the first World Domination back then! I believe the one I created (and shall restart) was the 3rd? BHR created the 2nd, I believe. That was in 2012, and I didn't participate I don't think, but I read every single post. It was amazing! And it was hers that truly inspired me to write my own in 2016.

So wow, you know, usually these are a lot longer. But I have so much to say! Sadly, most everyone from 2010 are adults now and living their own lives. Not sad, but it's sad at the same time because I miss seeing their hilarious, creative posts and comments. And wow, you guys now are like, "MIND BLOWN."

Seriously. Max creativity! It is stunning. You ask me to compare the two generations of CBers? Ha, yeah, good luck with that. They are so different. People back then were more random with HypeQuests and random discussions. Nowadays we do more stories and games with deep discussions. Both are great, although I feel so much more connected to this time because I am older and more aware. Back in 2010 I stood in the shadows because back then most people were 14-16 and I was like 9. Now I am older and so I can really get involved more than when I was 9. Seven years does that to you xD Not to mention I have really learned every nook and cranny of the CB!

Okay, now I'd like to say thank you: Well, uhh... Thank you guys so much for many great memories! No, I am not leaving. I hope to have many, many more years to come here. Well, as many as I can get before I am an adult and on my way. Ya'll know Oregano, right? She's 18 or 19 and in college now. Yet she still checks on us from time to time. So when I am 18-19 I might slowly start going away. I mean, I'd have a life to tend to and it's kinda awkward being that old on here. Plus parents might be creeped out by having an adult talking to their kids xD that's a weird thought.

Through everything, the good and the bad, you guys always manage to pull through. So I would like to return a small gift to you: a gift that does not even begin to match your kindness through all my rough times and all the happiness, support and creative knowledge you have brought me:

A poem.

Yeah, yeah. I do tons of these for you guys but I feel that no matter how hard I try I end up leaving people out. So this time? Imma go full force poet and include every single person on the CB. Every single person that I can recall. It's gonna be long because we have like 50 people right now. I will include some great CBers who left and some from many years ago. That way if they ever return to say hello, they can see my gift to them all to thank them for their kindness and generosity. I don't think you guys know how much you have done and how much you have touched not only me but the entire world. I retell your stories every day. Your acts of kindness. Your generosity. Creative ideas. Yeah, I get mocked for it. I mean, what kid or parent wants to hear you are taking over the world and have learned geography through it? Who wants to hear that someone's dog died and you are upset about that? Wellll... some don't. But I do. And you guys do. And the Admins. And Cricket Magazine. And the world. People on my blog are touched by your words. Deep down people in person care too, but they still mock me to disguise that fact. I stick by it.

I stick by your brilliance.

So in short, I say thank you. Mind my insane wanna-be-humor in this, I am in a good mood mixed with a classic sarcastic tone. Yeah. That's me.

So I shall post the poem separately and share the link down below! Mind you, this might take a few days to write. It means finding the records and going way back. Every single CBer currently plus a few oldies (miss you guys!). *Bows* thank you ever so much, my friends! You all - even the ones I haven't met yet - mean the world to me. Be the change, be the smile in the face of the sorrow!

For you are the sunlight in the storm.

So go change the world, my friends! I am expecting you all to be my coworkers in the next big humanity-aiding non-profit company in the future!
