A Little Gift
Every now and then I feel inclined to give you all a little gift. I like waiting until we have a bunch of new CBers so they feel welcomed too. So here's something for you all:
Lovely Smiles, Laughs, and Love
Friends, aren't they such a wonderful thing?
Lack thereof puts one down yet
Choosing is a heartbreaking, swallowing process all in itself
Some are fortunate enough to run across
A batch there with open arms
With lovely smiles, laughs, and love they welcome all
From the talented artists of
Lap R., Lucy B., Bluebird, Katydid, Caroline, June, and all
Whose quill and ink never run dry
Ideas as fountainous as the ocean itself
Love, do they to make others smile with
Elementgirl, Starseeker, GeenMango, Leafpool, Silver
Oh, and with laughs do they give
From General Waffleson, Inky, Squid, to Epic Fangirl
In voices, they call out wisdom, knowledge with years
Oregano, Abigail, Mei, Cockleburr, Clouded, Daisy, I call out to you
With loving arms, for years of time itself
Admins one two and three keep careful watch with golden hearts
Or those whose skills in the pen leave one speechless
From Gared and Brooke's sci-fi, Elementgirl's fantasy, Claaws's beautiful worlds
And all those in the place who change your perspective
On life for eternity, opening doors that were locked all before
When your heart breaks with sadness, who might be there?
In a regular world of hatred and abnormal disregard
Mixed in is a small nook of beauty, where every single soul
Gives their hearts to lift another up, even with wars and disagreements
How can it be so that such a perfect place exists?
One might find the flowing youth a source, no need to look for its fountain!
With pen in hand, they change the world, voices ranging from small to big
President, they could be, and a great one too
To starting an orphanage, a rally, a theatre, each person
Will have the mind to explore the windows, so go fly, my friends
To the world beyond your imagination, a place
So peculiar in its beauty, so tempting in the call
Where you will change all in existence

Aww! Thank-you, that is so sweet! Thanks for including me in the poem, it was very good. And of course, thank you for welcoming all of the new CBers. I'm at an awkward point of newness where I am definatly (argh, spelling) new, but not as new as others. Unless you count when I first looked at the CB (even if I didn't post)which was around early January/late December. It turns out I first looked at the CB during the aftermath/ end of the diversity war, I just didn't realize it! Anyway, I must thank-you again for including me in your beautiful poem.

You are very much welcome, Mango! I never knew you were still reading up our posts December/January. Ugh, it makes me really sick just thinking about the Diversity War. At least you didn't really know about it at the time! I have a feeling it would have scared you away being a new CBer.
But yep, I am glad to include you in the poem! You've really made a big impact here on me and the others. And to all the CBers whom I did not include, they are just as amazing as well!

This is amazing, Ashlee! Simply AMAZING. I love that you included me! You are such a talented writer. You always try to make others feel better about themselves. I see you everywhere I go around the CB, from compliment threads, to encouragement threads, RPs, question threads, balls, and everything in between! Whatever thread it is, you are always encouraging others, keeping them certain they can reach for the stars and that their best is always enough. Ashlee, you are so amazing! Your colors bright and cheery,
Bringing hope to all those who feel down,

I can't let this pass by. Booksy Owlsy, I know you're just joking, but the world is a better place because you are here! People are not defined by their talents but by what they do with them. And please don't focus on the talents you don't think you have because there are so many wonderful talents you DO have!
