The CB is
The CB is an ocean. Most of us stay on the surface, splashing and playing happily, swimming thread to thread. A few dive deeper, another page or two, maybe. Some even go to the very deepest depths of this sea, the back pages, where the find sunken treasure and bring it back to the shallows. But there is a part of this ocean that has never been explored much at all.

So, I had this idea while trying to go to sleep one night. Now, maybe this is dumb, and I was tired that night, but maybe it's an interesting project that some would like to try on the CB.
The CB Expedition Project.
So, we all have read the threads on the first page, and rarely go farther, unless to top our own sunken threads or check for threads of others. But do we ever go into the very center of the CB? I didn't think so. There might be some very old, but very interesting threads hidden down there, and we just have to find them. So let's do it.
I'll need six people including myself to help with this project. Each if you will take on a separate part if the CB. I'll take on Inkwell. Available sections are:
This Month (I don't blame you if no one takes this section)
Chirp at Cricket
Blab about Books
Down to Earth
and finally,
Pudding's Place
Assigning will be first come first served. Once assigned your section, you will go to the last page and see what number it is. Then, divide that number by two to figure out what the center page/pages is/are. Go to it/them. Read down a few middle pages. Then, when you find something interesting, either top it, or do a remake.
I think this is gonna be really interesting!

This is a great idea, Leeli. Seriously, good idea. But maybe a few more people could help. Its just, there are just six CBers who are named the "CBer explorers" and everybody else who was unable to join in time doesnt get a turn? Cant lots of people join, then we are all assigned a seperate page which we then all help with? Im sorry if this sounded rude, I didn't mean for it to look that way. But the CB is for including!
Apart from that though, excellent idea.

All the threads on page 145 (the middle) of DTE are from 2011.

I see what you mean. I think that six is enough, but since so many people want to do it...
Well, my concern was that there would be too many new threads made if more people joined. My other though was that the other CBers will be able to see and do the new threads we make. But, since so many want to participate, maybe there can be two people per section, and they can look on separate pages. What do y'all think?
Also, everyone, please, PLEASE, read all the comments to see if the section you want is already taken! There have been way too many people asking for the same sections.

I would just like to say, I just spent about 15 mins flipping though Blab About Books to try to find the thread with Air about Wings of Fire. I finally found it! If anyone is interested to see my weird desperateness, (I was young, what can I say) it's on page 24. It's by Insanity. That was waaaaay back for me: about a year ago! Then I forgot, and... here we are now.

Ok! So, there will be TWO explorers per section, and they will each top ONE thread. So, once we have everyone, we can start. Please don't start before we're ready. One person in a team will look on the three or so pages before the middle, and the other will look on the three or so pages after the middle page. Make total sense? Yeah, I know, it's confusing. Anyway, this way we'll avoid two CBers topping the same thread. I'll make a list later of partners and sections and such.

Happy searching! I dive into old threads on a regular basis. I'm usually just interested in what people were talking about eight years ago. Or, I'm looking for a CBer who's an adult now. Or I'm just doing my daily CB rituals. I suddenly felt a possesive urge to sing Hamilton since I have it playing.
