My brother graduated

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

My brother graduated

My brother graduated from high school on Saturday! He's the oldest.

Do any of you guys have older siblings that are, um, very "teenagerish"??? If you know what I mean. :) He didn't really even want to go to the ceremony, but he did! I don't see him much though because he does a lot of plays (he's a wizzzzzzzz with lighting!!!!) I haven't seen him for at least 24 hours.

That's the way my brother is. You know, kind of fights w/ my parents, and is very moody. :D

I don't think I'm "teenagerish." but I don't know. Maybe I am.

Wow!!!  Congrats to your brother!! :):) My brother, Clay, is 17, and a Junior in high school.  He's probably going to go to USM (University of Southern Maine ((which is wicked close to my house)) ), or maybe it was SMCC, Southern Maine Community College, I don't know which, for two or something years, and then go to a real art college, and be some sort of art thingy, I can't remember what.  I think it was maybe a graphic designer. :):) What is your brother going to be???

You know how sometimes people classify themselves and others, well that is what my friends do. Acording to them (for girls at least) there is "girly girl", "sporty", and "just normal", or something like that, then they classify us. For some reason I always get classified as "something else", meaning I am not normal, but I suppose that is fine.

I guess people don't even bother to classify me!  I don't know what I am!  I'm not "teenagerish"...  I think...

I love girly stuff, but sometimes I act like a tomboy!

I don't like sporty sports, but I love hiking, swimming, bike riding, and well, pretty much anything outdoors.  But I also love to read, and will spend weeks without really going out of the house.  :)

I like to shop, but I also hate it!  Everything is so commercial, it's sickening!!!!!

I love vintage, but cute modern things are really neat too.

I could go on for ages, so I better stop, but you get the point, right?

:)

Omg, Laura, we are EXACTLY the same.  I adore girly stuff and cute clothes and I LOVE to shop, but I also am a hiker, swimmer, soccer and basketball player and bike rider.  And I recently started a 500 page long story and have been reading it non stop, even though my family is saying, 'get your eyes off that book and come and help!'... LOL!!!

I am basically repeating what you said, which is why we are alike, so I had better stop.  I guess I would be classified as 'teenagerish'.  (Not sure if that is a good or bad thing :S)  But I am not all about material stuff...

I'm not really teenagerish, I don't think. My brother isn't much, maybe a little. (he's learning to drive! OH NO!) My cousin (who, yes, is a couple months younger than me) IS teenagerish. She loves to wear those bikinis and other stuff. I don't get it... last year she was a tomboy, now she's a girlygirl.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think everyone is a "Something else" although it might be a different kind of Something else. :D Like, my friends would say, "Are you a girly girl or a tom boy?" I mean I'm not a girly girl as in pink, fluffy, sparkles; and I'm not a tom boy as in wearing boy clothes, being outside all the time, and playing with guns and cars. Ya know?

My oldest Cousin is only ONE year older than I am. I have no idea what she would be classified as, definitley NOT girlygirl, oh I don't know maybe animal lover?

My friend did that. She used to kind of look down on me a little bit because I am sort of girly-girlish. She used to be the hugest tomboy, and now she's into makeup and shopping and mini-skirts (except her parents don't let her wear them). She also goes to public school full-time now; she used to go for a class or two a day. Maybe that's part of it.

Emily L., when (approximately, you don't have to give the exact date) is your birthday? Mine is on Flag Day!

Why are you wondering? Is it because I've been on here for nearly a year now and never had my birthday? It is (sometimes) on Midsummer's Eve. I like that, especially because I love fairies. And I get the longest birthday of the whole year!
