I JUST RECEIVED MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER TO ONE OF THE BEST SCHOOLS IN THE STATE, IF NOT COUNTRY, FOR THE ARTS!!!!
Guess what happened after that?
My amazing friend (former CBer Cloudy Dweller) called and said that she got her acceptance letter as well!
I'm so happy and excited right now :)
After months of scrambling for recommendations and report cards, filling out 10 page forms, trying to remain calm through an interveiw, and biting my nails in suspense as the chances that I could get in got lower and lower, I finally got accepted! Only 15 people were chosen. There were more than 15 people at my interview site, which was 1 out of 3 such sites. Goodness gracious, I'm so happy I just needed to overflow somewhere.
You guys inspired me to write more than ever. You taught me how to build characters. By watching and learning with you, I found how to put depth and tension into my writing and how to read the best quality work.
Thank you all for being the amazing, loving, and inspiring community you have been to me for the past 2 years!!
No, I'm not leaving to search for higher callings. I forgot to mention that this whole thing is just for the summer ;)

I got to visit the school campus a while ago. It's gorgeous! They have statues from Shakespeare's plays decorating the extensive landscape, and a special place for each from of art! The building for drama and theater had a bunch of Hamilton posters everywhere and even more Shakespearian stuff. Of course, the Creative Writing area was my favorite. It was filled with displays about different authors, research computers, and many classrooms with bookshelves full of books! They also have a wonderful library, with a whole stand dedicated to Hamilton-related stuff in the entryway. I'm so excited. I really think I'll fit right in. The girls' dorms look cozy too ( obviously we didn't tour the boys' dorms). I'm only a rising 9nth grader and already thinking about going there year-round for the last 2 years in highschool.
