Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Overseas!

Have you ever been over seas, or to another country or state? The only overseas country/city I've ever been to is Singapore, which is admitedly not very far away, and also Tasmania. I guess that doesnt count, but it is technically over-seas. So what other places have you been to? Please tell us a little about it, I would really like to know, I am always extremely interested in other countries and cultures of any sort. If not, just tell us about the city that you live, and what it's like.

In Singapore it was the hottest, most humid place I have ever been. It gets pretty hot where I live, too, but not in the same sort of way. I live in a dry-hot sort of place, rather than a wet-hot sort of place if you know what I mean.

I'm sorry, but the first thing I'm have to talk about is the food. It was the most delishous food I've ever eaten, and there was so much variety! Singapore is mainly made up of different Asian cultures, which is why everything was so beautiful, amazing....and delishous! The one thing I thought was pretty funny, though, was when we went to an Australian cousine. I was expecting the sort of things that I eat everyday, which isnt very exciting, so I didnt know why I was looking forward to it so much! When we actually tasted the food, though it was so delishous I was just sitting there, eating, thinking, I didnt know we ate this stuff at home!

Anyway, In case you were wondering, food was not the only speciel part of my trip, but I don't think I'll write any more,  as I could just go on telling story after story all day. Instead, I will just leave a tip to all those of you going to new countries. Explore. Eat as many different things as you can. Try and squeeze in as much in as possible to your trip, and do things you normally wouldnt do, as you probably won't be able to do them again!

So, enough about me. Where have you been before, and where would you like to go one day, wether it be to another continent, country or city. Thanks for reading my long and boring thread!

Oh, my brother just went to Turks and Caicos without us. A friend of his invited him and so he spent a week in the Caribbean scuba diving while the rest of us spent our time in freezing New England. Hmph.
