So, anyone here got some good life hacks? Well, this is a thread in which you can share them! What are some life hacks, you ask? Well, their every day things that you can make easier! Ex. how to always win Rock, Paper, Scisorse, how to get rid of the hiccups, how to make a traffic light turn, ect.
Here, I have a few, so I'll start!
1. Hiccups! Do you know how to get rid of them? Swallow three times (or more) while holding your breath! I works...everytime! Though if you do it too much you may have to start swallowing more then three times.
2. Brainfreeze! Do you know how to stop one? Once you get that unbearable feeling, simply tap the top of your mouth and it will go away withen seconds!
3. Ants/other bugs or mice invading your house? Well here is an all-natural trick to get rid of them! Go to your local store and get a small bottle of lemon essencial oil and pepermint essencial oil. Mix them together, you may have to add more lemon since the pepermint is really strong. Put it in a spray bottle and spray corrners of the walls/window cills/anywhere else the creature may be getting in, and they'll be gone withen days. Just remember to spray it again after the smell wears off.
4. I know some of you have migrains, which is a very painful headach that happens when the veins in your neck close and don't allow blood in your brain for a short time, causing a very painful rection when it all comes back. A nice tip into stopping them is to take Nicen, it's a vitamin B of somesort that widens your veins and allows more blood to flow. Just take it before you have the migrain, it wont help while you have the migraine.

I'll have to think about it. My remedy for hiccups is to swallow a teaspoon of sugar . You have to do it fast so the granules go down your throat . Don't let it dissolve .

Yeah! I've got tons of these.
1. If you have a canker sore, try gurgling salt water (1 cup water, 1 tsp. salt, or so). I had to do it after I had one of my wisdom teeth taken out, and when my mom tried it to get rid of her canker sore, it worked. So, I don't know if it's a legit life hack or not.
2. To dry your nails instantly, stick them in freezing water for three minutes. Try not to scrape them against the walls of the container, though!
3. You can get gum out of jeans by rubbing ice on them, then scraping off the gum with a butter knife. (I had to do this yesterday... don't ask)
4. Use one of those plastic pants hanger thingys to hold a paper next to your computer when re-typing something. (I find this very handy while re-typing something on the Chatterbox so the words won't get all weird and space-y. I think you know what I'm talking about) You can use these to hang lots of stuff when you're using both your hands.
5. freerice.com is a website that donates rice to poor people after you answer some easy vocabulary questions. Check it out! It's a great way to help out the poor and do something educational at the same time.
6. If you put glowsticks in the freezer, you can use them again! (but, they need to be warmed up a little bit. Rub them with your hands)
I can't think of anymore now. Oh wait!
7. Some tips for when you think you're going to start crying/have and anxiety attack in public- take deep breaths (I know it's obvious, but seriously, it helps), try to drink water if you can, focus on your surroundings or start to name things you see (idk, this helps me. I try to distract myself from whatever is making me upset) Or, think about what's making you upset and tell yourself it's OK. There are some breathing patterns you can do that are supposed to help (breathing is important!) Think about things you like, or focus on a mental task such as trying to say (not say? I guess think) the alphabet backwards, listing things, or counting by threes or any other number. I've also found that by moving/fidgeting, I feel a little more calm.

If you're trying to hold your breath for a long while, take a deep breath, let it out, take another deap breath, let it out, and take another deap breath and hold it.

Oh, and if your trying to win Rock Paper Scissors, ask the person what their favorite color is. They will almost always do scissors afterwards.

Oh wow! I LOVE life hacks! Unfortunately I dont know any at the moment:P Also @Blue (Can I call you that?) I did the "freerice.com" and donated 200 grains of rice! AHM, ya I know thats like nothing but Im doing school right now so I couldnt partake in the full experience:P
