The Kyngdom Project
I was thinking about how amazing Kyngdom is and how much it's shaped my life, and there has been a little bit of conversation surrounding it, but I wanted to let everyone know that I take the idea seriously. I say that the Kyngdom video game should be real and playable.
If anyone wants to join me and start planning this project, we can talk it over on this thread. Just jump in and discuss, don't worry about jobs yet!

I agree that it would be a free-roam RPG. Maybe something like Pokemon where the player can follow the main story but always have the choice to not complete the story and do something else. Maybe we could insert a sandbox mode?

I am in favor of this.

So, do you use a certain software for dubsteps? If so, which one?
Which house genre do you use?
Then of course, there would have to be a Kyngdom theme song that I could first compose on the piano or bass (string bass. Trust me, the sound won't be too low. I can reach the treble clef, the clef that violins use, if I wanted to.) I probably prefer piano though. From there, of course, there would be remixes and EDM sounds (sounds, not themes.)
Then there's sound affects. I don't always work with these, so I'm not an expert, but I could ask one of my friends who is creating his own video game. His other friend helps him with the sound, so I could ask him too, unless you already know how to do it, which is great.
@Viola?, I think it would be great if you made character concept art. You're an amazing artist! (It's Mina from Kyngdom.)

Thanks! It's convenient, I think; I've been drawing everyone on the Who's Here? thread for ages. Should I post some here?

@Halon K, no I am not that type of dragon, I have ears instead of horns and am all black except for my white eyes. It's a cool dragon though!
I can draw concept art of the Powers if you want, but Viola did mention she's working on their pics so if you want we can just use hers.
Also, maybe if they choose to have a power (as in the bigginging when they choose what their name is/who they are/what they are/ect.) they can get captured by SOCS, but otherwise stay with the origonal plot?

Hi! Just saw the post that Icy did on Kyngdom.
I think that it is a good idea to not play as a main character. I think they should customize their character, then make decisions that let them cross paths with other main characters. For example, they could visit the Bog&Burrow and witness the fight there, maybe even get involved. Something like that.

I created a page on the Kyngdom Wikia for the event flowchart. Could someone fill it in? I don't actually know the story.
Thanks!

On page...eight of this thread, I think? I put the rough plotline in. It was eight, seven, or something like that.

I showed it to him, but there's a lot of things like "Follow Power of Wing plotline" He doesn't know the plotline.

I'm already starting on the theme song.
So excited!! I love composing.

Someone (I think either Ronan or Gared) mentioned that the player could start by finding a book. If we did that, the book could be the Book of Myths and Legends, and someone could come up behind the player as they were reading about the Gryphon or the Song of War Bird and tell them it's real, which would of course start the adventure and place the beginning early in the Power of Wing.

The intro should depend the speices of the player, that intro is great for a humaniod but what about an animal, don't they know that the myths are real? or what about an Anthro which in most cases (*cough* Nieke) who don't even know that Kyngdom even exist. I found it accadently due to a mishap with the Portal of Worlds. That's it! I got an Idea for the Intro for the Anthro's. They find the Portal and get sucked in! I was also thinking of like doing a prolog for it. Like how does the player find the thing that starts of the game. The prolog should be like a training level. What do you think?

That sounds like a great way for the game to start, since Kyngdom's originally a writing site. It's all one big story being told constantly. The book definitely puts us in the mood. What if they're reading it and the BIG letter falls out? So, we have this whole intro with beautiful language and images of the gryphon and the unicorns and the phoenixes, with music and stuff in the background, and suddenly we're plunged back into the real world when our player finds tghe letter.
(March 6, 2017 - 6:10 am)
Oh, I like that! Although it raises the question of how the letter got there.
(March 7, 2017 - 6:58 pm)
I really like that idea!
(And, for people wondering, there's a rough timeline on page eight)
