Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Religion. Just to

Religion. Just to let you know, Christianity is a pathway to a relationship with God and Heaven. Read the Bible and think again about what you believe. I'll go in depth later, but please tell me about what your religions are and what you believe. :)

Many believe he was possessed by a demon. Perhaps Satan himself!

Yes he is, but he doesn't represent all religion.

Exactly! Plus he kind of made up what he believed about all that Racism, so it's not like he followed any religion correctly.

Has anyone seen Expelled? I love it (personally)!!! Ben Stein spoke at my sister's graduation! Just want to know what people think.

Oh yeah, that was a good movie! We watched it in my science class. I especially liked the way Ben Stein interviewed Richard Dawkins at the end.

I think expelled* is propaganda. It is Ben Stein saying "Don't believe in evolution, it goes against my religion".

*to me, it doesn't deserve to be capitalized. A great big *phooey* to Ben Stein and Other "Intelligent Design" publicizers. No offense. :D

Oh, BTW, Mary W., You write really well, even though I completely disagree with you!

OK, I hate to say it, ;) but I agree a little with what you're saying. Expelled is a great movie, and documentery, if you believe in God. It shows reasons that we believe in God and why we should keep believeing.... but If you don't believe in him, it's not going to change your mind. I think the movie is definitely a little.... biased???.... towards athiests, and I don't think they acknowledged their views too well. So I'm not going to be like, "Pirocks, what's wrong with you!???" Or anything. :) :) But yeah, I love the movie.

I'd like to see it. I have heard of people, like college professors, being fired or given severe warnings just becasue they mentioned intellegent design in their papers. I think that that sounds like Evolutionists are the ones saying, "I don't like this, it doesn't agree with my religion."

Yes, you should see it. It's really eye opening to how scientest and some of the goverment is so oposed to intelligent design.

Expelled is not based on fact. The Bush Administration opposed evolution, and so did the majority of politicians until Obama became president. Scientists also only oppose it because it is a creationist response to evolution. The only evidence for intelligent design is that the bible (and other religious books) agree with it. Living things can all be explained with evolution. You can believe what you want, but you can't say it's science until you can prove it without religion.

Have you seen it? Because they had examples of scientists being very oposed to the theory of creation. REAL people, and real evidense. Although I haven't seen it lately so i don't remember exactly.

Sorry, Admin. The part about 'Evolutionists' really made me angry, though. Please forgive me? I'll type in civilized tomes from now on, ok?

OK. Thanks.

Oh, and Grace, scientists are usually opposed to creationism. It goes against most of all science. I wasn't saying they weren't opposed to it. I was saying that last year, even, science was ignored and religion used instead. For example, the Bush Administration increased the amount of arsenic allowable in public drinking water, ignoring the science that arsenic is DEADLY. Also, on a different topic, you think about other religions, such as Buddhism, or Sikhism? I'm trying to change the topic, because this one is a bit too flame-y for comfort.

Wait a second. I'm not talking about the Bush Administration.... ?? Did you watch the thing, or are you just talking about what you've heard?
