Summer thoughts. The

Summer thoughts. The
Summer thoughts. The winter is cold and grey and dreary (and snowless. if it has to be cold, couldn't it be pretty too???)
But let's jump ahead a few months! What are you excited for this summer?
I am going to go to a summer music camp, and am very excited! I've done lots of day camps before but not an overnighter. Any tips for overnight camps? Apparently this one is kind of formal (ie dressing up for dinner and concerts) but also very fun and quirky. Anyone know what upstate New York is like in the summer? Things to pack?
This is planning way ahead but I just hate winter so. What are your seasonal thoughts?
I went to camp in upstate New York. It can get pretty hot, but it may just be nice. If the camp is in the mountains or on a lake it may not be really hot. When the time gets closer, the camp will probably provide a list of things you should bring. But I'd start with a flashlight, sunscreen, insert repellent, a sweatshirt, and jeans for a cool day or night. Have fun and tell us about it when you get back!

I'm looking forward to going to the pool and feeling WARM, and wearing shorts and T-shirts, and getting more freckles. My mom keeps insisting that I do "resume-building" things over the summer (like last year I went to this summer program about business and culture at Indiana University that made me miss the 4th of July because we were in some lecture hall learning about Myers-Briggs personality types !!!!) but I Don't Want To For Obvious Reasons.
I want to be able to catch up on all the different projects I've been meaning to do, build a portfolio of good drawings. I might be going out of the country, which is exciting. I'm also going on a mission trip to Kentucky with my church!! I'm looking forward to sleepovers, pool parties, popsicles, and making memories!!

Running.....l love running. l can't wait til it's warm enough to go running outside.
Wandering around my little city for hours with my siblings, slow Sunday afternoons in coffeeshops, reading under trees, growing an outdoor garden, summer road trips, spending all day outside, hiking in the mountains, watching the sunrise, insects, and dannnggg l miss summer.

Hey! I live in Upstate NY! Near a lake! But anyways, no matter where you go, always, always, always bring a water bottle with you. It gets hot. Overnighters are really fun, and I suggest bringing bugspray for any evening outdoor activities.
Right now, it's gray. It has been gray for about 4 days. And when snow does fll, it disappers, leaving cold, wet, sloppy mud. It also takes a while to clear cars, due to frost, small hail, and freezing rain. Don't get me started on wind.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR SUMMER!

I can't wait for summer! I live on an island in NY and my family has a sailboat, so I'm going to be at the beach and sailing a lot. Lately, I have been thinking about the summer a lot since the winter is really terrible and boring right now. There isn't even snow... It's just cold and the branches are bare and things are brown and gray instead of lively and colorful. I miss the summer and I wish I could change the seasons whenever I wanted to.

I'm looking forward to green grass, and warm sidewalks. Plus; feeling the sun on my face as I lay on the trampoline. Hmm, that could make a nice poem.
Summer
Green grass between my toes,
The warm sun on my face,
Popcicles and cold treats,
it must be summer.

OMG!!! I'm sooo exited for this summer! I will be spending the entire time in upstate New York and going to lots of fiddle and violin camps! I will be going by myself and will be stopping in San Francisco and Montana! I also applied for the Stratford Shakespeare School up in Canada and I really hope I get in. X-D
