Riddles! Does anyone

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Riddles! Does anyone

Riddles! Does anyone have some good ones? I'm on this other site where they were telling riddles, and so I decided that we could do it on here too! Here's one:

Alice and Emily are twin sisters, but Alice is thirteen and Emily is three. How can this be?

If you need a hint, ask me because I have one!

Oh, and here's another one:

Weight in my belly,

trees on my back,

nails in my ribs,

feet I do lack.

What am I?

Right!  Except there were four riddles, and the third one was, "What was the highest mountain before Mt. Everest was discovered?"

Say, these are right out of the book! You wouldn't happen to have the Dragonology Handbook, would you? Anyway, since I know them already, I'll let someone else guess.

Lena: your riddle (even though I see that it's already been answered) might also have been that the older girl was cloned at age ten....

A boat with trees growing on it?  HA!  I don't know... I'm not very good at guessing.  But when I do guess right, somebody else has already guessed the same answer!!!!  Arg!!

This is not a riddle, but it's still funny:

One day, three men escaped from jail. Two of them were smart and the other was dumb. They hid in a barn while the police were looking for them. One of the smart men hid with the horses and said, "Neigh, neigh," and the police walked right passed him. The other smart man hid with the cows and said, "Moo, moo," and the police also walked passed him. Then the dumb man hid with the potatoes and said, "Potatoes, potatoes."

Here's another one:

A cloud was my mother, the wind is my father,

my son is the cool stream, and my daughter is

the fruit of the land. A rainbow is my bed, the

Earth is my final resting place, and I'm the

torment of man. What am I?

(This should be pretty easy)

But how is rain the torment of man?

Haha! I don't know. Rain can definitely get in the way sometimes (for example, we've been getting waaay too much of it lately...). But I wouldn't call it a torment, myself. I wondered the same thing when I read it, but I just liked the riddle itself ;D
