So I was wondering, where did your names come from? Some people do what you're told to do, and do your first name and last initial but a lot of people don't. My name comes from the book Impunity Jane by Rumer Godden. It's about a pocket doll. It's also abou 99% of my childhood.  That's why I picked it.

 

Genn says font. That's a real word! Her only other word was pony.

Cool idea for a thread! Mine is a nickname I got from a friend. She was trying to think of a nickname for Emmy, my real name-not a nickname- so she just randomly said Ember. I'm probably going to change my CB name soon, though.

Weeler says yaak. Are you saying I'm a yak?!

Your real name is Emmy? My real name is Emie, (Eh me eh) but people call me Emi (Eh me).

@Joan B. of Arc and Ashlee G. Thanks! It's just that a lot of people get confused as to th efact that Embers in the Ashes and I aren't the same person. Also, I thought of a name from my fan-fiction that I'm writing that I could use for a screen name. I might change it, but I might just keep it. I don't know. We'll see :-)
@Butterfly yup! It's German, I think. Cool! I've never met someone else named Emmy that wasn't a nickname!

It incorporates my real name, the name of my book character, and it also sounds REALLY COOL. At least, in my opinion. I also love tending fires (no joke). I guess that's a bit odd. Oh well.

It doesn't sound weird. Fire is the best. But wait, are Ember and Embers in the Ashes different people? I thought Ember was just short for Embers in the Ashes.

Nope! Tons of people get confused, because we joined at around the same time with similar names? We are different people, though. I chose my CB name for the reasons stated above, and Ember chose hers because it's a nickname her friends at school call her.

Mine's all classic xD

But to be honest, if I was to switch my name - which I would not - it might be something like OceanWolf01, which I use at other places. Ocean for I grew up near it, and it's been my home forever. Wolf for wolves are my favorite animal now, and I have a strong connection with them. And 01 for my birth year, 2001. I sometimes joke around saying LaGamerWolf, since I love gaming, and in Spanish "La" is "the".

elementgirl because i'm the kid who memorized the Periodic Table in 3rd grade, and 18917 because that's my sail number, and also my birthday is 9/17.
