My feelings about

My feelings about
My feelings about winter as a season are currently.....mixed.
For one, it was -30F this morning (with wind chill) whilst at the same tiime it was a lovely -10 or so at the South Pole. (or so the National Weather website told me. l wasn't about to go outside and find out for myself.)
On one hand, you can really, really impress people. Mostly people from Cailfornia. (okay, l'm kidding. But still.) You can also shame people for complaining about thirty degree weather. For instance:
Person 1: Thirty degrees! This is it, l'm moving to South America!
Person 2: Hahahaha, what a chicken you are. l've survived negative thirty degrees! Ha! Take that!
On the other hand, it is totally and completely horrible. It's super cold and you don't feel like doing anything. The only thing that negative degree weather is good for is skiing. For some reason it's just fun to ski in that kind of weather. l'm actually going to a ski race up in the mountains for a few hours tomorrow, and yeah, it's not getting any warmer. Yay. l hope l don't freeze.
*nervous laughter*

I KNOW, RIGHT!? It snowed here too.
Connie, my CAPTCHA, says snow. :)

Sheesh, and I thought 7 F was cold. I guess we're a bit spoiled up in PA.
Regardless, my views on winter are pretty clear: It sucks.
I can't imagine doing anything outside in this weather besides walking someplace warmer. I've never tried skiing, or snowboarding, or winter sports of any kind, because all I ever want to do in winter is stay inside and try not to catch hypothermia. So props to you for actually going skiing. I hope you didn't freeze as well.
Dolphin says "zuei." If I had a nickel for every time I got this CAPTCHA, I'd probably have like 2 or 3. That's almost enough for a gumball...

You should! Nordic skiing is much, much better than complaining about the cold. (well as long as you're not trying to go fast and it's downhill. Ski races are a special kind of miserable.)

Haha, same! I mean, I very strongly dislike the cold weather, especially since I have bad circulation. It's cool to play in (punny, I know), and to watch snow, but I don't really like the cold. At my house, the real feel in the mornings are sometimes -10, and we have a ton of snow and ice. Like I said, cool to look at, but not to be outside in.

Thats funny. Where I live, it's boiling hot in summer. Right now I really wana cool breeze....*sighs*

Same, in summer we get up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. It's insane weather changes where I live.

We just got 6-12 inches of snow (I don't know how much exactly), and consequently a tournament that I was really excited for was CANCELED! BLAAAARGH!

It was -7 yesterday where I live. I think the coldest temp it's been here since I was born was -21??? And that's Illinois for you. I think 98 was the highest temperature. Gah, I have to deal with both extremes!

Ok, so yesterday it snowed here for the first time this year. Whenever it snows in Richmond, VA everyone FREAKS OUT and rushes to the grocery store to buy milk, eggs, batteries, and toilet paper. Consiquently, the grocery stores run out of those things SUPER fast. Also, everyone drives at about five miles per hour! Crazy Richmonders! (I count myself amoung them, although I was born in Michigan. I only lived there until I was about three, though, so I don't remember much about it.)
My dad summed up the whole thing one snow day a few years ago:
We were driving behind this person who was going AGONIZINGLY slowly. The roads were clear. Finally, my dad got so fed up with this person he banged his hand down on the dashboard and yelled:
"OH MY GOSH! There is SNOW on the side of the road! It's going to jump under my tires, I just know it!"
My brother and I were in the back seat and we thought it was the funniest thing ever. We were trying to stifle our giggles because my dad was obviously NOT in a good mood!
As for the temperature, it is ten degrees right now! SUPER cold for Richmond!

YOU ARE SOOOOO LUCKY!!!!!!! Okay, maybe not with -30 degrees, but still. I LOVELOVELOVE winter! The snow, the ice, the beauty, the stillness, the NOT hotness (other than swimming and no school, I HATE summer weather) and the holidays! Christmas, my moms birthday, and my birthday! I was LITERALLY born for winter weather. So I'm in my happy place, peeps! I just wish there were more than an inch of melting snow on the ground. :-/
*sigh* sometimes I wish I lived in Sweden.

Winter? What's winter? It was 80 degrees out yesterday!
In all seriousness, SoCal has literally two seasons— Summer and windy summer.

March- Cold & Gray, Snowy, lack of sun
April- Warmer, Snowy-ish, Gray, Rain, Slight Flooding
May- Summer Weather, plus a few cold days
June- Summer-hot
July- HOT
August-HOT
September- Medium
October- Cold, wet, miserable

Hahahahahah
here we literally got a thin layer of ice a few days ago, which melted off the roads within 10 hours and they closed the schools for two whole days.
Unfortunately i did not get school off :( 'cause I'm homeschooled. Even the homeschool school I go to twice a week for classes wasn't cancelled even though we have to drive on the high way to get ther. Meanwhile, I know kids in my neighborhood who can walk to the high school in like two minutes and they had no school..... People here would not last a second where you are Shadow Dragon
Everyone here gets really scared when it snows - you may have heard of the rather embarrasing thing that happened here in 2014? 13? 15? (honestly don't remember the year) when everyone got stuck in Atlanta and people were freaking out over like a few inches of snow, and the cars were at a standstill.
But if you like heat, come visit!!
