Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Haha, this is

Haha, this is dumb, but I need some suggestions on something. Try not to laugh. So on weekends and after school sometimes, I watch (typically old) animated superhero cartoons. So, I just finished the last one and need more suggestions...what do you guys like to watch as far as cartoons go? I enjoy things like Young Justice, X-men, Fantastic Four, and (this is silly, I know) Batman ONLY IF Robin and/or Batgirl is in it (with a few exceptions). I literally skipped through to the credits on every single BTAS episode to see who the main characters were. I guess I just like it when there is someone younger and more fun in the story.

So you've heard about me, what do you guys watch for Saturday Morning Cartoons? I'm honestly just curious, and it's 10:30 at night, and I'm crazy, so yeah; this is what you get when Rose bud has the computer at 10:30 PM and doesn't have any more superhero cartoons to watch :P

You guys are the best.

Unfortunately I'm not too big into the super hero world, so I don't have any of those type to recommend.

But when I was little, I had a whole line of Saturday Morning cartoons. It was the one day I'd willingly get up early so as not to miss any. I'd drive my dad crazy, waking him up to make sure we weren't missing any. I used to watch it on Kids' WB (which is tragically no longer a thing).  My main shows, which if you can find them you might like, were:

-The original season of Pokemon, back when Ash was just starting and Brock and Misty were still there.

- The original Yugioh, which was hands down one of my favorites and was fantastic. I played the card game, the video games, everything.

- Xiaolin Showdown

- I have very vague recollections of Pinky and the Brain, which may or may nothave been really appropriate, I don't remember.

- Static Shock, which is a super hero one. My dad watched it mainly but he made me watch it too some, and it wasn't the worst. Just super heroes have never been my taste. You may like it, Rose Bud.

- The original Teen Titans, which again was not my favorite but I watched it with my dad.

- Scooby Doo, Where Are You! was another favorite because who doesn't like Scooby Doo? And it was waaaaay better than the new ones made today. I also watched A Pup Named Scooby Doo, which was a cheesy take on Scooby Doo but entertaining to a kid.

- Jackie Chan Adventures was great. Just absolutely fantastic, I definitely recommend that one.

So I'm a major nerd of the older cartoons from the late 90's and early 2000's. (Though some like Scooby Doo Where Are You! were made and originally aired even earlier.) I personally can't latch onto the newer stuff, I always go back this these shows. Not many are necessarily super hero themed, but they do carry the same action plots and were really good.

I loved the oldy Scooby Doo when I was really young! My siblings and I were the gang for Halloween. One of my brothers was a box of Scooby Snacks because we didn't have enough characters for everyone :P

Steven Universe.

Thats literally the only thing. I never find time to get into shows or cartoons--too many episodes. Me stumbling upon this show was a miracle; I held a strange dislike for anything Cartoon Network. *shrug* But a couple months ago I was at a sleepover with my best friend and she forced me to watch three out of four seasons of it. (Well, we skipped a lot of the filler episodes.) At first, I was very unsure. It didn't seem that good to me after watching the first few episodes. Yen the plot began to take hold, the characters more developed, the drawing style more smooth, and the plot!!!!!!! It grew from okay to wow I really like this to OH MY GLAUX I LOVE THIS SO MUCH to the point that I started screaming during one episode, and cried during a song. AND THE PLOT TWISTS. Seriously I should make a thread for is; I'm totally ranting. Btw the show involves LGBT (and straight) characters. Since all Gems are girls, they're pretty much all lesbian. There's some other ships thrown in there; the creator and the songwriter of the show is bi. Rebecca Sugar, and she is amazing. Anywho, continuing my rant, THE SHIPS ARE OTP. I am in the fandom now. I love the music too; there are some great songs. Vocal songs, and some of them I feel like belong in musicals. My favorites are "It's Over, Isn't It", "Here Comes a Thought" and Do It For Her, the first being my top favorite. I like plenty of other songs though. Have to leave now!

YEAHHHHHHHH

ohmygosh I love this show. It's over isn't it has to be my favorite song. Do you listen to the background music songs too? There is this really good one called Mirror Match!

Whos your favorite character? It has to be either pearl or Connie or Steven for me. Ooooo I love stevonnie!

I've wanted to do an rp for Steven Universe, but I wasn't sure if anyone liked it.

Ooh, I don't have just one favorite! Out of Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst (my friend and I call them "the moms" shrug) Garnet is my favorite, Pearl close second, and Amethyst last, but she's still cool.

I LOVE Peridot. So my favorites are Peridot, Garnet, Connie, Pearl, AND STEVEN! in no particular order.

By the way, I recommend Young Justice to everyone. It is amazing and marvolous and funny and has wonderful characters. Aside from some kissing and death, destruction, etc., it's good for the CB age group. Although me and my friend who used to go by Cloudy Dweller can't decide if Superboy or Robin is better. She's rooting for Superboy.

I'm curious...would you mind telling me what your fanfic is about, or is it more of a private story.  Trust me, I make those all the time...no, they don't involve me zapping Zatanna at the very end of season one right before she grabs Robin, why do you ask? (Actually, they do).

Miraculous Ladybug? It's not Marvel or DC but Ladybug and Cat Noir (the main characters) are superheroes.

Miraculous Ladybug has a huge fandom. There's this girl who sued to go to my school that everyone loves, and she does the most amazing fanart. She's obsessed with that show. Apparently it's supposed to be really good once you get into it.

Yes, it is! I am definitely a part of that fandom. (I'm a bit obsessed, too!)

I'm the same way. I binge watch a show then I have to try to find another. I'm currently binge-watching the original Teen Titans which is good most of the time, but sometimes just really dumb (I still like it tho.). Since you're into the super-hero genre (yay!), you might like Justice League Unlimited. It's on Netflix. Sorry, those are the only suggestions I have.

I think there's a show that the main CB audience would like, but I haven't watched it, so I won't recommend yet.
