Surgery

This is just a heads up- I probably will not be posting December 21, or a few days after it because I am having surgery to remove a cyst from my gum. It is where one of my wisdom teeth is supposed to be, and fortunately, it is not cancerous. They're giving me anesthesia, so I won't feel anything until after. Wish me luck!

P.S. If you have any tips for surgery, I'd be happy to hear them- I had one to take my tonsils out when I was 3, but don't remember too much about it. Thanks!

I've had five teeth exracted. I have been given sleeping gas in the past, which works for me. Some people can't handle it, though.

If they also give you sleeping gas, try not to fall asleep. You will have crazy dreams, which may or mat not make you flail around. Eheh.

Good luck, and I'll be praying!!

I've never had surgery, but I do know some people who have. One of my friends from school had some teeth pulled out, and he did tell me how it was. Based on that, I suggest you eat ice cream, cold smoothies, and suck on an ice cube often. Apparently, whenever you have surgery in your mouth, it's a good idea to do things like that afterwards. Either way, good luck and get better soon! :3

Oh, Bluebird, I'm so sorry! I'll be praying for you! I don't have any tips, but I hit my tonsils removed when I was like three or four too! :D

Someone in my ballet class had surgery on her leg, and we all sent her gifts and cards. I wish I could do that for you, Bluebiurd! But I'll give you a virtual get well soon card. ;-)

I forgot to say this: from the age 4-7ish, I broke my right collarbone, got stitches twice, and got 5 teeth pulled out. I survived, and I'm sure you will too! Good luck!

Good luck, Bluebird! I am close to having to get my wisdom teeth removed, but that could be for another year or two, so I don't have experience with surgeries. My friend broke his collarbone - actually, both he and his brother did - and they both handled it really well, there was only a bit of pain afterward. Being that it isn't a bone, I think it should go even better. Good luck, be brave, and don't think about it too much! We'll be waiting for you when you get back!
