Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm pretty sure that most people here live in the USA, but everyone else doesn't celebrate it, so ignore this thread, unless you want to look at it. Anyways, now I need to get on with this post!

What are you all thankful for? What's your favorite Thanksgiving food? What is your Thanksgiving tradition?
I'm thankful for the normal stuff, like family, friends, food & water, shelter, etc. But, I'm also thankful for good music and good books. My favorite Thanksgiving food is cranberry sauce and anything that we have for dessert. My Thanksgiving tradition is going to my grandparents' house for the afternoon and we have dinner there with the family in the area.

Happy Thanksgiving, Cbers! Thanks to Moonlight for this thread. :)
I'm thankful for my family and friends, and beautiful weather! I love the turkey, but gravy will always hold a special place in my heart, lol. I also love pumpkin pie. We don't really have a Thanksgiving tradition... we just do it, lol.

I'm also grateful for Cricket, and all the wonderful CBers and the Admins, too. :)

#2. Just got back from a Thanksgiving gathering with my family. Well, a large part of my family, because my family is HUGE. I am proud to say that I made one of the dishes: sweet corn baked with buttery cracker crumbs. It sounds simple, but it took like an hour to prepare. I also had some turkey, and mashed potatoes, and ham, and stuffing, and rolls. I had some Persian dishes as well...my aunt's husband is from Iran, so most of the people at the party were from there.
#3. In the morning we watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, then we hang around and cook for the Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt's.
#1. Where to begin? I am thankful for so much. For my family, my friends...I have lots of them this year, lots of good friends. And for the CB, when I returned to my Island Paradise Resort Ski Lodge, everyone was so happy and excited, it made my heart swell. I am thankful for my life. Vague, yes, but it's a relatively good one. I have my struggles like anybody else, days when I don't have high self esteem, when the homework load is too much. I am thankful I don't live in a war-torn country, or a dangerous area, or in a country where disease spreads. Or women are mistreated. Yes, I complain sometimes, but I have a good life. If we just sit back and think, we realize how much we have to be grateful for.

Well, I don't think we have a certain Thanksgiving tradition. Around this time is pretty busy for us as we get ready for a vacation. This time my mom's best friend invited us over for their dinner, and there was turkey and cranberry sauce and all that stuff, all homemade. Oddly, I didn't get the chance to eat any turkey. My favorite food is probably to green beans, if they're cooked right.
Thankful for. Mmm. Definitely all the normal stuff as well. But I'm also thankful for friends, life, dreams, hope, rebellion, and internet (don't laugh at this. I honestly feel very sincerely concerning the internet). And, as much as it pains me sometimes, also family.

What am I thankful for? Oh, so many things. My family, my ability to have basic human necessities, of course. Opportunities are one thing that stands out to me. I am so thankful that I have the world ahead of me, that I can take my life in any direction I chose. That I live in the city I live in, that I go to the school I go to. That so many paths are open to me. I am thankful, too, for all the people who help me and comfort me, and all the people who, throughout my life, have shaped who I am, whether they are relatives, friends, teachers, or random strangers, whether they know it or not. I am thankful for my wonderful friends, who, though a small bunch, are the most amazing people ever, and always support me. I am thankful for deep conversations, beautiful thoughts, and heartfelt emotions. I am thankful for good books that influence me, all the things I have learned in life, and my grades (don't judge). I am grateful for fun times and small moments that make big memories. For comfy sweaters and official blazers (once more, don't judge). For fresh notebooks, and the fact that the holidays are coming. For the fact that I still have three weeks before finals. For good food and good company. For emotional poetry and music. For freedom to be myself, and for people who do not judge me or stereotype me for any reason. For cups of warm, tasty tea. For rain, when it happens. For chances I have taken and have yet to take. For the fact that I have good teachers and interesting classes. For the path of life layed out before me, filled with "bends in the road." And last but not least, for all of you amazing, lovely, wonderful, smart, creative people who are the best comunity I could ever wish for. And for the admins, for making this website safe and comfortable for us. We love you!
Happy thanksgiving, everyone!

Yay! I was thinking of making one of these, but now I don't have to! I'm thankful for my family, friends, food & water, yes, but I'm also thankful for all my pets, the animals that live near me, my talents, a great place like the CB, everyone on the CB, my church, godly people, living in KY, Living across the road from my grandparents, being saved, technology, Christmas, thanksgiving, homeschooling, I could go on forever! Anyway, my fav thanksgiving food is definitely the pies me and my grandmother always make! This year my fav pie was butterscotch. And our thanksgiving tradition is to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and the National Dog Show! And to eat with our extended family at our grandparents.
