Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Dear CBers,
You are cordially invited to a CB ball.* Be sure to bring your best dress, best costume, best manners, and best food! There will be dances and entertainment for everyone. RSVP to me, the Young Lady, by the evening of the 30th of October. The ball will be taking place on the nights of the 31st and the 1st of November. You will need to bring what I mentioned above: a costume to wear for the Halloween dance and a formal outfit for the ball. Optional, but appreciated, are any kinds of foods you wish to bring. Vulgar and common foods are discouraged. May I also add that the first person to guess me (I may or may not comment) will get to be the costume judge.** You may have ONE guess. Thank you and I hope to see you soon!
Formally, The Young Lady
*Here is the definition, courtesy of Rose bud, on the Ultimate CB guide: CBer balls (noun, activity): Basically where all CBers get invited to a ball, and all the girls talk about what dresses they are going to wear. Earliest known establishmen: unknown.
**Once I have been correctly guessed, I will post the rules for whoever the costume judge gets to be. Warning: if I am not judged by the 30th, I shall be the costume judge, so guess quickly!
May I finally add that NO AEs, under any circumstances whatsoever, may come.
Also, guys are welcome to join, but NO DJs! We will be playing ballroom music on Nov. 1st, but I'll have to think about Oct. 31st. Maybe I will let a DJ in for that.

I suppose I'll come, but I'm not wearing makeup because it hurts my face. And I'm not dancing. I'll sit in the corner stuffing my face with something and reading.
But I will bring a red velvet cake . . . Mei? (perhaps just wistful thinking on my part.)
Ball dress: Just a simple white one. It has a soft fabric, but lace on the front and back in a kind of flowery pattern, the sides open. Zipper-up, very plain really. One necklace, one of those ones that have a complicated and heavy design right at the neck, which is blue. My hair is done up in a bun.
Costume: Private-eye-ish. A short black dress, cut a bit above the knee, with spaghetti straps. I wear a black leather jacket and trilby. My hair is cut short, blond, with no jewelry.

I'll come! My costume will be Black Widow's costume from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. So, classic black leather jumpsuit, with straight red hair down, and chewing bubblgum. My ball gown has an ornate green and gold bodice, with off the shoulder green and gold sleeves that are tight up top and long and flowy on the bottom. The skirt has a hoop underneath it, and has many hidden tucks of material to give it more volume. My hair will still be red and will be up in a french twist held in place with a clip in the shape of a green and gold peacock.

Hello.
My costume is a blue cloak and a gold mardi gras mask.
My formal wear is a black suit, cut in Victorian style, and a green and grey scarf.
I will be bringing bread and jam.
