Dream thread!

Dream thread!

Do you guys ever remember what you dream? I do a lot of the time, but my dreams are so weird!

What dreams have you been having recently? I had this dream the other night where I sat down on a sofa next to another girl, and we became friends. It was such a pleasant dream that I tried to have it again the next night.

But that didn't work very well. The girl and I became friends, but then she got way overenthusiastic. She got this giant sticker reading "(my name) is the best girl in the world!" and put it on her diary. Embarrassed, I tried to peal it off, but underneath were these stickers of ugly baby angels saying things about how great I was.

So I tried to have the dream again. This time the girl said something like: "That's nice, dear", and then she completely ignored me and had a conversation with someone else.

I tried a third time, but this time there were about a million people in my way and I couldn't even make it to the sofa.

After that I decided to just make friends in real life.

Also, do you ever base stories off of dreams? I tried one time, but it didn't work out very well.

Thanks for reading!

I have a lot of cool dreams, and I remember them for the day, then forget most of them. But here's one that I remember. It's kind of weird...

Anyways, one day, I was at home, when my little sister (she was, like one or two years old then) disappeared, and I couldn't find her. Then, later, in the newspaper, there were stories of kids disappearing all over the world, and somehow they tracked them down to a planet in outer space, and they wanted someone to go and find them.

Somehow, I got elected as the person to find them, so I got into the spaceship, and blasted off to outer space. Soon, I was in the building with glass walls everywhere, and I parked my spaceship outside. The building was kind of abandoned, except in the distance, I could hear voices.

I walked along the hallways, and began to get a little scared. Then, the voices for louder, and I hid behind a corner withwalls that weren't glass, and peekd around the corner. There was a glass room, with glass walls, and inside the room, there were all the kids who had gone missing, with this woman who was sitting in the middle of the room, with my sister on her knee. My sister looked very happy, and she was laughing.

On the bottom of the glass wall, there was a place where there was an actual wall, a thin strip, so I got down on my belly, lower than the strip, and shimmyed along, hoping that the woman wouldn't notice me.

After a bit, the 'wall' folded back, and somehow, it was a paper strip on the other side of the glass, pressed against the glass to trick people. And the woman was staring at me. And now, this was no ordinary woman. She was super creepy, with dark eye shadow and mascara, and a pale face with very dark shadows under her eyes, but somehow, she also looked creepy. She walked out of the room, and I tried to run, but I felt really sluggish and I couldn't. She grabbed me, and as I went into the room, I somehow realized that all the kids were under an enchantment or spell of this lady's, and I got really scared. I walked into the room, and she strapped me down onto a table, one of those that they do surgery and that stuff on.

She took a large needle, and held it above me. And in the needle was a kind of potion or poison that she made, to put me under her enchantment or spell, too. I was strapped down, so I couldn't get away, then the needle got closer, and closer... then I woke up.

So that was really weird. A lot of times, in my dreams, instead of being sluggish and not able to move fast, I'm not able to scream for help. Like, in one of my dreams, I was on the floor, and there was a shadowy figure in a cloak above me, like a kidnapper, and he was standing over me. I was really scared, and I opened my mouth to scream, but all that came out of my throat was a small, pitiful sound, kind of like a whiny sound, too, and when I tried to run, it was like my legs had turned into jelly... yeah, I have a lot of scary dreams.

But there was one really weird one where I was captured with a bunch of other people, then put in a tank, where we somehow escaped, then got into a place filled with bamboo, indoors, with glass wall. I, one or two other people my age, and, for some reason, a hamster, like the ones in Zootopia, escaped with me, and we slid down a gigantic slide that could see all of the city, then stole a car that we stray painted rainbow colors, so I was in a car with two other people, a hamster as the driver, and the car was rainbow colored, and the 'road' was actually a rainbow, and people were chasing us. So, yeah. Weird.

Rainbow cars and hamsters on a rainbow. Nope, not scary.

These are some pretty wacky dreams! Let's see how many I remember....

I had this dream a few nights ago. I'd had it once before (once in a while my dreams repeat) and I remembered some of it while I was dreaming.

I don't remember most of it, but I'll write out as much as I can-

So I was with a ton of people, and we were locked in some sort of basement, with a weird person dressed in really fancy clothes who was supposedly keeping us there. But there was plenty of sunlight from windows and stuff, and couches and things. My mom was there, I think, and maybe my sister, I don't remember.

Then I was exploring it a bit, and I found a door, and I opened it- and walked into a store.

Not exactly a store, but there were lots of racks and shelves filled with stuff and people were walking all around, looking at things and buying stuff. So basically, a store. There were bright lights and a carpet.

Then I walked all the way around the store-like place until I came to another door, which I opened. It looked like a staffroom, so I went back out. Then I met two girls about my age who wanted me to go for a ride with them in their little box, through the door. I went with them. (I don't remember what they looked like).

The strange thing was that when I went through the door with them, it was, instead of a staffroom, a dark forest with lots of overhanging plants. The box (it had wheels) kept going faster and faster, and then we must have crashed into somthing, because, while still sitting in the box, we all flew up into the air.

We went much, much higher than logically possible, and I remember telling them not to worry, because I had had that dream before and I knew what to do.

I had this weird feeling in my stomach, when we were flying through the air (I mean, anyone would if they were basically falling up), and I grabbed onto a tree branch that we passed by but couldn't hold on.

Then we either landed or something, and I remember the girls leaving. I continued on.

Then I was in these tunnels, and I just knew by instinct that I had to defeat this monster or something and then everyone could come out of the basement. As I remember, the monster was something like the monster in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, but I kept calling it 'Medusa'...I dunno. And then I woke up. The first time I had that dream, I think I defeated the monster, but I'm not sure.

~~

I can never remember what night I have certain dreams on, and often I forget them completely. Also, sometimes I feel like I didn't have any dreams on certain nights. My dad always tell me that I just don't remember them, but I argue that when I have dreams, I know it, like I'm half-concious...I don't really know.

Do any of you have that thing when you're nearly asleep, and then you feel like you're falling? I had a major one a while ago...I was almost asleep, and then I kind of half-dreamed that our cat was trying to scratch me, and I jerked away...and fell with a huge thump onto the bed. Which didn't actually happen. It's so weird!

Anyway, I have so many dreams, most of them weird, all of them illogical, and frequently involving monsters that chase me. Some dreams repeat several times; most are unique. (Of course, I never exactly do the same things in repeating dreams. They are always a little different.) I would love to tell you all about them, but I'm sure it would be too much for the poor Admins and I also could be doing other stuff. (By the way, Admins, sorry for such a long post. My apologies.) ;) Later, then!

Ugh. I had the weirdest dream ever last night.

So, this is what happened:

I was on a train with 2 of my brothers, and my Dad. Each of us, (except my Dad) had recieved a letter from Miraculous Ladybug, (a tv show superhero) giving us powers and telling us our "true names." Both things were really important, and basically you couldn't let ANYONE see your true name, or your power, (except for my siblings and Dad.)

Anyways, we were on this train after we recieved these letters, and suddenly this guy appears. He's appears to be about the same age as my Dad, and he starts attacking us. My Dad screams for us to "get rid of the letters," and we do so. One of my brothers tears up his paper, and eats it, my other brother stuffs the letter into his pocket, and I just clutch my letter in my hand. Both of my brother's letters were only 1 page, but my letter was 2 pages, and unfortunately, one of the pages blew out of my hand before I got the chance to read it. So, the train keeps going and my Dad and this guy are still fighting, when suddenly the train goes into a tunnel, and my Dad and the guy jump off of it. The last thing I saw of him in my dream was him getting hurt by the guy and yelling to me "take care of your brothers."

Then, after the train comes out of the tunnel, another guy comes from behind us, and I yell to my brothers to jump off the train. Of course, we all do, landing into a forest, where we stayed for a while, living under ground and foraging for food.

That's when I woke up.

So, yeah. Pretty weird, but kind of cool at the same time. I'm pretty sure I forgot a couple details, but that's from what I remember.

That sounds terrifiying!!! Your dad jumped off a train and told you to take care of your brothers?! That's so scary! I'm going to bed now, but remind me to tell you all about my Purple Cardboard Zombie dream.

Yes. That was not a typo.

Purple. Cardboard. Zombie. (With suprise appearances from an extremely unhelpful mermaid queen and underwater winged baby heads. And my mother.)

Purple Cardboard Zombie? XD

Wow, that just reminded me of this really weird dream I had about a year ago (gosh that was like stuck way back in my brain). The reason why I remember it is because it actually made sense.

Well not really sense, but unlike most of my dreams, the places suddenly didn't change and things didn't pop out of nowhere. And the story made sense.

This may also sound really weird, but just because it actually made sense, it's probably my favorite dream that I've had so far (or remember, at least).

Okay, ahem. It's kinda a Halloween story, perfect for this time of year. *rubs hands together*

So, unlike most, my mom was in this dream. And it was actually her. Anyhow, there was also a non-existent older brother (he was about eighteen or sixteen?) in there as well (I have no siblings).

__

We were outside, and it was night, with a full moon and stars. The three of us we were sitting on a worn sofa, me in the middle. If I remember correctly, my mom was on the right and my "brother" was on the left. The sofa (I think it was light blue) was in front of this large hotel, and we were staring right at the double doors. People were coming in andout a lot and going around the sofa, like it wasn't even there. The doors was kinda squatty and you could see light from the lobby. It was similar to a Holiday Inn.

I was kinda upset becuase this was a very fabled hotel, and my mom and brother wanted to explore it. It was supposed to be filled with creatures similar to the ones in Minecraft (weird because I wasn't playing Minecraft at the time I had to dream).

Anyhow, my brother suddenly stood up and started chatted with the bellhop. They were smiling and laughing like there was nothing wrong. Oh, but there was. My brother was partly leaning on the doors and every few seconds, he would push one of them closed with his hand. The door kept swishing open, even though there was no wind, and they weren't automatic. It was like ghosts were doing it. Everytime it swished opened, he would just giggle.

My mom suddenly got up, and soon she and my bro were walking into the hotel, the bellhop leading the way. I planted my butt deeper into the sofa. I was too scared, I wasn't gonna die. I crossed my arms as they looked back at me and gave me one more chance to come in with them.

I sighed, jumped up, and followed them in.

In the dream, I remember people calling the lobby "the arena."

The arena wasn't as scary as I thought. The tile floors were a bit grimy, and there were these weird, grimy, zombie dogs pacing back and forth. They looked pretty scary (dried blood, bones showing, some flesh, all that zombie stuff), but they didn't bother us. I knew not to touch any of the zombies or monsters inside, because if you did, you'd be dead in an instant (and no, they didn't even have to bite you or anythng).

The bellhop suddenly disappeared, and we were greeted by this creepy butler. He was tall and thin and only a ring of brown hair was on his otherwise bald head. His face was long, bony and pale, and there were deep circles around his eyes, as if he hadn't got sleep in a long time.

I the dream, I was telling myself that he was probably a zombie in disguise.

(note: this will contain some dialogue, but I swear none of it is made up, as far as I can remember)

"Good evening," he said, "and welcome."

With his hands behind his back, he motioned at the sepia-colored gun that was hanging around my body on a strap, like a crossbody bag.

"Guns," he said, "Ha, children these days."

I was tempted to correct him but then he asked, "What is it called?"

My dream self was suddenly filled wth a memory. I was in my brother's workshop, and the two of us were sitting and a table while wearing stained aprons. In the memory, he said that Tau was the answer to making the monster-zapping guns work. I was about to ask him how two multiplied by 3.14 could be the answer, but I never got the chance. The memory faded away.

Once I got out of my memory-trance, I looked up at the butler and said hesitantly: "Lenticular . . . something."

(At the time I had the dream I think I was playing a video game which included a gun-like weapon called Lenticular, so that's probably where I got the gun part).

The boney butler nodded and we suddenly found ourselves in another part of the hotel. It was a big room, and it was similar to a flea market. There were a few other people browsing, and we started carefully going past rows and wooden shelves of stuff.

Along the wall of the room there was a long shelf filled with vases. My mom stopped and looked at one, and even picked it up.

I saw her and yelled, "Mom, what are you doing? Don't touch anything!" The deadly zombies could've touched one, and the objects could be contaminated! (I was very surprised at her action, for mom is is the clean freak of our home).

She shook her head, signifying she thought it was fine.

I began to grow nevrous. For some reason, my brother didn't bring his gun, so I kept patting mine, making sure it was there.

Minutes later, I heard a sinister-sounding groan. I slowly peked down an aisle, and saw a very broad-shouldered Minecraft zombie looking at something.

My eyes widened. "Zombie!" I exclaimed. It must've heard because it turned its green head and started lurching towards me.

As it got closer and closer, I realized it wasn't a zombie, but an armless Creeper (I suggest looking those up if you never played Minecraft).

Anyhow, I put a shaking hand on my gun, raised to eye level and pulled the trigger. Yet nothing happened.

Adrenline rushing through me, I ran to my brother and pushed the gun into his face. "Help! It's out of pellets and I forgot to reload it when we left the house! Please tell me you have some more!"

"Yep," he said coolly. He opened up his black satchel and handed me several sheets of newspaper. "Here."

I was just about to roll them up and stuff them into my gun when the creeper was super close to us.

When my brother saw it, he turned to our mom and said, "Mom, hurry!"

When she looked in our direction, she was still holding  at that darn vase, and she hesitated on putting it down, but she finally did. The the three of use went off on a sprint, trying to get away from the Creeper.

It was getting closer and close as we tried to run away from the flea market section of the hotel. As I was running, I tried to roll up the newspaper my bro gave me but my hands kept fumbling.

Finally, we rounded a corner and approached a lounge area, specifically and old, stracted oak table. A chubby-looking family was sitting at it, and the only seats that were left was a stool and a chair.

"Oh," my brother said, noticing the lack of one more chair.

"I don't have to sit," I said.

So he and our mom sat down, while I placed the newspaper on the table (I was gonna roll them up into tiny paper pellets, for that was what the monster-zapping gun used). Suddenly, however, the papers turned into tiny cinnamon rolls without icing (your sub-conscious hard at work again, switching stuff around!).

Nobody, not even me, seemed to notice the difference. I shoved the three pellets into the long barrel of the sepia-hued gun, as that was sadly the maximum amount of pellets it could hold at one time. In the dream, I knew they would suddenly be turned into hard, little balls (not bullets).

We all hoped the Creeper had lost trace of us, but hoping didn't work. It approached us, and was just about to touch me.

__

Oh, but did my adventurous dream stop there? Nope! Guess what happened next . . .

Oh by the way, I kinda lied when I said I remembered all this dialogue. Right after I had the dream, I whipped it up into a story for the forum I used to go on. I kinda exaggerated a few things, but I'm 99% sure the dialogue and what happened was accurate (especially what the creepy butler said, and the memory with tau). I think I just added some descriptive words. When I remembered the dreamjust now, I decided to go back to that forum and read the story, just to refresh my memory.

__

So, me, my bro, and our mom got transported into this fantasy video game I used to play (I don't anymore. It got boring and the other players on there were creepy). The chubby family that was at our table were there, too, but their bodies were more slender.

All of us were decked out in some fancy armor, weapons, shields, stuff like that. The creeper had grown to one hundred times its original size, and it had clawed hands and a big scary mouth and it was covered it grimy dried blood.

We kept trying to attack it, but it wouldn't seem to die. I shot a fiery blue arrow at it, and then it bent down and stared at me as if I was the only person around. He mumbled something to me, but I can't remember what it was.

__

(Now the next part is very sketchy in my memory. This is from the story I posted on the forum, yet this part seems so book/movie-like and too fantastical that I'm not sure if it actually happened in the dream. I think it might've. I remember the monster sort of picking me up.)

__

Finally, I yelled that we had to stop and give up, or we would just exhaust ourselves to death.

The giant monster suddenly turned to me, reached out a claw, and grabbed me around the waist. I kicked and flailed, but to avail. It's paw was green and slimy, and composed of different-sized Minecraft blocks. The thumb was made from a single small one. And yet it's grip was super strong.

"UGH!" I screamed, "Let me go!"

The creature laughed and replied, "You should be smart enough to know what happens when someone says that."

I instantly realized that I shouldn't. I've seen the movies. Whenever a monster picks to person up and they say let me go, the monster will do just that, and then they fall to their death on the ground below.

But this time, the giant didn't let me go.

Another memory flashed through my head. I remember that a friend described something from the game Minecraft. The reason why monsters and creeper only came out during the night? Expose them to sunlight and they'll be burned to a crisp.

As the zombie still gripped me, I called for my brother "Hey, get sunlight!"

He stopped and looked at me. "What do you mean? There isn't any." He motioned at the night sky, filled with clouds. Then he started approaching the creature, obviously worried about me.

"No," I said, "don't come near it! I'm fine." (I apparently wasn't) I thought quickly. "Get fire!"

He nodded and rumaged through his satchel. He lit a match and held it up. "Now what?!"

"I don't know!" I cried. "Just throw it at him or something!"

He was about to, but the monster blew it out in one swift blow.

It let out a loud roar, and I woke up from the dream.

---

I added a more sensible ending to the story on the forum so it would make sense, but I won't put that here. Whoa, what a dream. Definitely making that into a book someday . . .

FINALLY, DID YOU READ ALL OF THAT LONG STORY? CONGRATS THEN!

I've had about five dreams in which I either go to Hamilton or it is announced that we have tickets to Hamilton. Once it took me a few minutes to realize that it was just a dream that we got tickets, and I was so disappointed I nearly cried :)

My friend and I decided to become dream interpreters. We like to say that we're good at it, but last time our interpretations ended in my friends and I chasing each other across the playground trying to steal imaginary girl scout cookies from each other. And the dream was about binary code!!!

I've had a few friends who can actually control their dreams, and I think it would be awesome to be able to do that! When I was little, I had nightmares every night, but then I grew out of that and stopped having dreams altogether. Lately, I've been having random dreams once every two or three months, and I've noticed that when I change my sleeping schedule, I will dream about a random person who I haven't thought about for a long time. It's a bit strange, but also pretty cool!

Now. It is time. For the Purple Cardboard Zombie.

I was at the pool, during a swim meet I think, and this purple cardboard zombie shows up. He starts to chase me around the pool and I jump into the water, because zombies can't go in water. I just knew that. The pool was really deep, and when I got to the bottom I was in the ocean. There were mermaids everywhere, and I walked up to the queen mermaid, sitting on her seashell throne. She was surrounded by Flying Baby Heads, the type you see in Middle Age paintings. She asked me what was wrong and I told her about the zombie trying to get me. I asked her to help me. She just smiled and said,

"Oh, don't worry, dear. I'll help you get back to the surface, so you won't be stuck here! You'll be ok. I'm sure you can handle the zombie! Bye-bye, dear!" She made it seem so reasonable! I tried to explain that I needed help and didn't want to go back to the pool, but she just waved and I shot to the top like a cork out of a champagne bottle.

Back at the pool the zombie was still there. I started running around again, and, naturally, it kept chasing me. Then I saw my friend's family's big maroon, nine-seater van parked right by the water and I got in and started driving away. The zombie got into another car and chased me. Can zombies drive? Appearently so.

I drove like mad to a gas station, where my mom was waiting. She got into the car, and because I had nowhere else to go, I drove back to the pool. Somehow I crashed the zombie's car, without damaging my own. The zombie's car was flipped over, but I wasn't sure the zombie was dead. My mom told me that the only way to be sure a zombie is dead is to roundhouse kick the car. I got out of the car and tried it, but I didn't do it right. I was sure I had woken the zombie and I asked my mom to kick the car for me. She did, and the car crumpled like a soda can. My mom turned back to me to show me the car, and the zombie crawled out and started going for her.

I yelled, but she wouldn't turn around. I got out of the car, knowing the zombie would follow me. When it saw me I got back inside, but it went around to open the back door. The door opened and the zombie came in and I knew there was no excape and.... I woke up.
