The Hatch!
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
The Hatch!
The Hatch!
Some of you may not have seen my post, but I started another batch of eggs a few weeks ago. Yes, just like last time, some have begun hatching a few days early. (They were due to hatch on Friday. One started last night!) This time, I actually have some americaunas pipping! I'm so excited to see how many will hatch out! I really hope there were some turken or cochin eggs in the mix--I guess I'll see when they finish hatching. (All their eggs practically look the same light brown.) Right now five eggs have pipped--but none are fully out of the egg yet.
Speaking of baby animals, well, let's just say I'm not called Micearenice for nothing. My mouse Sylvia just had her first (probably only) litter of mice! I'm so proud of her. Millet, the mouse I hand-raised, is her father, and now he's a grandfather!
I'm going to count the pups when they're a little older and easier to keep track of. (Right now they squirm like crazy. I think she had around 13, though.)

Oh my goodness! A chick with feathered feet? I've never heard of that. You must feel so proud of your animals, Mice! I can see why you chose Micearenice as your Chatterbox name.
