Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Poetry RR!So

Poetry RR!

So I had this idea to write a long, epic, rhyming poem on the CB and have it be an RR. To avoid confusion, please try to wait until that last person's post has shown up to post. Also, copy/paste or type the whole thing onto your post when you are adding a piece. Each person can post a few lines each time! So.

Come here, reader, listen to me

As I tell of lands across the sea

To which I ventured, brave and strong,

Befriending the just and banishing wrong.

Come here, reader, listen to me

As I tell of lands across the sea

To which I ventured, brave and strong,

Befriending the just and banishing wrong.

But what is right
And what is wrong
In the eyes of the dazed and lost?

Come here, reader, listen to me

As I tell of lands across the sea

To which I ventured, brave and strong,

Befriending the just and banishing wrong.

But what is right
And what is wrong
In the eyes of the dazed and lost?
Things worth finding are found;
Things worth hearing have sound.
As I write my words across this page,
They tumble out of their cage.
Locked in memory, they are freed
By people like you, who love to read.
So come here, reader, and listen to me:
As I tell of lands beyond the sees.
(Sorry I put so many verses in! I hope that's okay and I hope that you guys don't hate them. I'm not a very good poet.)

So it's supposed to be about the CB?

Come here, reader, listen to me

As I tell of lands across the sea

To which I ventured, brave and strong,

Befriending the just and banishing wrong.

But what is right
And what is wrong
In the eyes of the dazed and lost?
Things worth finding are found;
Things worth hearing have sound.
As I write my words across this page,
They tumble out of their cage.
Locked in memory, they are freed
By people like you, who love to read.
So come here, reader, and listen to me:
As I tell of lands beyond the seas.
Come here, closer, let me tell you
about a land faraway full of writers and readers.
I'll tell you tales, and I'll tell them true,
Of the brave and foolish, the followers and leaders.
So come closer, come closer, as I say what I have in mind,
Come into my word's world and leave your own behind.
