So, what are

So, what are your thoughts on Pokemon GO? Personally, I think it's a good idea, but there are safety issues. Share your opinions on this thread!

I like it, but my dad said it uses too much data, and I can only play on data, so I had to delete it.  :(

Actually, it doesn't if you don't look at your Pokemon on data. Or click on them to listen to the noises. XD

I can't really answer this because I'm not allowed to play it... So.... Uh. Bye.

I think that the game is better in theory than in practice. I suppose it does get players to exercize to some extent, but what percentage of players play by walking and what percentage cheat? Also, a lot of people get really into the game and don't look up from their phone, which means they can walk into cars or off cliffs, as you may have heard.

EXACTLY! WHY DON'T PEOPLE BOOKWALK ANYMORE??? As an experianced bookwalker, and I also look before crossing a street, I'm covered.

Also, I don't call this cheating exactly, but hey, I usually have it up while driving, and it counts a tiny bit of it, because we're going so slow.

Safety issues?

Safety issues?

l'll tell you what has safety issues. Oh, l don't know, maybe, just maybe.....being alive? Maybe, *gasp* going outside?

Seriously, though. There's things far, far more dangerous then a simple video game. So what if someone's walked off a cliff while playing it? Millions of people die in car crashes every year, and you probably ride in a car without a second thought about that.

Life, my friend, has safety issues. Everything has safety issues.

Uh.. good point. You can break your neck getting out of bed! The point being made here, as I see it, is that PoGO is more dangerous (physically) than many other games.

lol. It might be the only dangerous video game. Talk about playing video games on a couch? You can be like, MY video games actually gives me excercise.

....And most video games are sitting, inside, requiring no physical movement at all.

Yes, Pokemon Go is more dangerous then most video games, but most video games are basically the safest form of entertainment.  It is not dangerous, compared to many everyday things that one can do.

Okay. This might get a little long.

I like Pokemon Go, because it incorporates my favorite series (Pokemon) into a virtual reality game and you can go catch them in the real world! Awesome, right?

Well, it would be if there weren't so many people pretending to be experts. I've been reading, watching, and playing Pokemon long before most Go players are, so I can safely say I know what a Druddigon is. But these people are calling themselves 'experts', 'pros', and 'masters' when they don't know anything beyond the first generation! It annoys me so much that some kid who was teasing me last year for playing Pokemon Sapphire on my computer is now talking like he knows everything about Pokemon! And even worse, every time I try to correct them about something (like the fact that Eevee has more than three evolutions) they're like "Well, I'm Level 16 so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about."

And on the other hand, I feel so bad for GO players. They've never experienced what it feels like to have your Charmeleon evolve after grinding on Rattatas for two hours. They don't know what it's like to be in a REAL Pokemon battle, against Misty or Brawly or Chuck or ANYONE!

I know ... sad thing is, there is no strategy to battling anymore ... That's the thing I hate the most. NEED. STRATEGY. AND. POKEMON.

I know! I can't use my carefully planned out potion-paralyz heal-all out attack strategies in a random battle! And there's no battle when fighting WILD pokemon. That's what annoys me the most. I miss it so much!

YES! If they do add on fighting with people outside of gyms, they should add the strategy back to it.
