To all CBers:
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
To all CBers:
To all CBers:
This month hasn't been so great. People have left us for a variety of different reasons. Cho, Mei, Abigail, Joss, and almost Syclla and pretty much Brookiera and Ashlee, possibly Booksy Owly, and some others I am forgetting.
But we that remain should not let this damper our CB spirit. We need to stay strong. We need each other more than ever. We need to make CB the place it used to be. Yes, some old, respected CBers have left us. You will be sorely missed! But new ones line up before us. Let's give them a place and a chance to share their writing and dreams. Let's make a friendly atmosphere to welcome them.
How can we do this? Are you saying we aren't being friendly? What do you mean?
Those are some questions I'm sure you want to ask me.
We can do this by sticking with RPs. We can do this by not making new RPs until old ones have died. We can do this by keeping threads in the correct section. We can do this by making important, impactful threads. We should think, why am I making this thread? Is it going to raise awareness to an important issue? Is it going to be for the enjoyment of other CBers? Is there already a thread just like this? Should I wait until another thread is dead to put mine up?
I am not saying that the CB isn't a friendly place. I think it is a great place! But I am thinking of all the CBers who made "I'm new!" Threads. Not very many people posted on them, including me. Most of those people never returned. I completely understand why people don't post on them. I myself don't often post on them. Don't think I am pointing fingers!
I want to say much more, but I need to go. Please think about what I said. Please don't cut me down. Please try, try to make the CB a better place.

Shoot, I made a thread exactly like this but on chirp at cricket. :-P

look what I found! This is amazing! I am totally with Emily L, and against the Man of Adiue.

Same! It's funny, but Emily reminds me of Esthelle ...
(September 7, 2016 - 7:21 am)
I totally agree with Emily. She's also so much more kind and patient than TMoA! He's very aggressive towards his point, and I quote "Finally someone RATIONAL!"
There were some crazy theories in that thread, and it made me a bit sad. I don't really think that Evolution is as widely used as Christianity anymore, which brings me to my next point.
Has anyone heard about the fruit fly experiment? NOOO beneficial mutations. Zero. While it could be argued that fruit flies are different from other species, that's a little crazy, according to Evolution's own principles.
Also, allot of Evolution goes against Robert Grosseteste, (not to be confused with Roger Bacon), the first modern scientist's theory of testing that we still use today!
I'm a total nerd for a debate. For example, if someone told me that Dr Steven Hawking was so brilliant and well respected, and that means I should believe in the big bang, I would probably reply: People believed in spontaneous generation well in to the 1800s, more than 2,000 years before it was proposed by Aristotle. Because Aristotle was so well respected! Of course, I'm not saying that we should refuse all Scientist's theories, but we need to test things ourselves, and put all personal biases behind.
Sorry...I might have turned this into a debate thread. I can't help it!

No. Just. No.
Why. No.
This is going to turn into a horrible debate thread.
(September 7, 2016 - 9:04 am)
No, it's not! I just was going to share the link, not debate it. Also, where have you been? Haven't seen you around lately.
(September 7, 2016 - 1:48 pm)
I honestly have tears in my eyes right now. I am so ashamed... And sorry. Will you forgive me? Please?
(September 6, 2016 - 9:13 pm)
I feel terrible for not posting on I'm New threads. We need to welcome people more, even if people are leaving.
(September 7, 2016 - 4:53 am)
Wait; what?!? Booksy Owly, S.E, what's wrong?
Don't be ashamed! Don't be upset! I wasn't trying to point fingers! I didn't want to make people, sad!!!
(September 7, 2016 - 12:52 pm)
Well said, Daisy. I was thinking of making a thread that said exactly what you just said, but I think you just said it better than I ever would have. :D
As to the link you posted, I read every word. It was so good! I honestly wish that we could debate calmly on things like that...... but oh well. I really apprieciated the calm and educated arguments that everyone was making, and while I wholeheartedly agree that God made the world, the discussion of whether it was made in days or ages is very interesting, on both sides.
Luna says "nnot." Not? I guess you're right. It could be either one!
(September 8, 2016 - 10:13 am)
I know, it was so interesting! When it comes to if God made the world in 7 literal days or millions of years, I don't know and don't think it matters.
(September 8, 2016 - 11:58 am)
I agree. I honestly don't think that it's a matter to go at each other's throats about.
(September 9, 2016 - 12:37 pm)
Yes!!! You're totally right!!! And you know what? EVOLUTION IS TOTAL CHANCE! It is so RANDOM! How is that even science?! Science has LAWS! Evolution is Random chance!!!
Sorry. Rant over. "Show me evidence, outside the Bible." I believe the Bible has been tested and proven to be reliable. It is the most historically tested book ever. You can't ignore it, Man of Auiue.
Ok. For real, my rant is over.
(September 8, 2016 - 7:39 pm)
And even if the Bible wasn't tested, I believe it's GOD'S WORD! LIKE HOW COOL IS THAT!!! It is on faith.
