Baelfire sits numbly, letting Brooke's words sink in.
"Baelfire... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I just... I can't keep Lyra. She's Maple's AE, not mine. I had to give her up."
Baelfire was crying now; the love of his life, just gone in an instant. MP put a hand on his shaking shoulders.
After a few minutes, Baelfire met Brookeira's eyes.
"How are you with memory spells?" he was numb, stutterless.
"Baely, don't do this..."
"MP, shut up! Brookeira..."
"I... I can do it."
Baely smiled sadly. "Good. Heh, now Violet really will have a chance for me."
Fresh tears in his eyes, he lit his binder of Lyra memories on fire. Brookeira shut her eyes and cast the spell-
"Baely? Baely."
Baelfire woke, confused. A smoldering binder he didn't recognize sat nearby.
"Ey, Baely... does the name "Lyra" mean anything to you?" MP asked.
"Who is Lyra?"

This feels weirdly personal. I mean, Baely is MP's brother, so I see him a lot.
I guess Baelfire will be happy now. He would've lived the rest of his life a sad, sad boy. I won't make him confused; I'll except his decision. I won't mention Lyra. If he falls in love with Violet though...that would weird for us all. I think he should still take her to prom though. He doesn't have a date now, and it would make Violet very happy.

True on that last bit... Violet is head over heals for him and has been... breaking. Practically dying, after Bael put her down. It would be weird, though, but I hear rumors Vi is using this to try again with Bael.

Oh, Baelfire! It's okay. Well, since you don't remember any of us, let me introduce myself.
Hello! My name is Eo-Lahallia. I am a miniature shape-shifter. I began as Scylla's CAPTCHA, but she inadvertently gave me a personality and there you have it: the first CAPTCHAE. Despite my free speech, I still tell Scylla the CAPTCHAs. I've said eight true words in CAPTCHA-speak. The first was pier and the most recent was huge.
There are three--I mean two members of my family. First is Scylla, my CBer. Second is Charybdis. She's a little prickly at first, but once you get to know her, she's a fun, awesome, admittedly sarcastic, and loyal friend. She's pure AE. And I mentioned a third, but it passed away. Its name was Russet Libris La'verne Dracora, but we all just called it Russ for short. It passed away a few months ago from c-cancer... *tear escapes eye* It wasn't here for very long, but I got attached to it. And it only spoke in book quotes.
A little about my personality. I'm usually shy, but Chary convinced me to step out of my (quite literal) shell. You see, I was a turtle. Now I'm usually a fawn, bird, or serval. I'm very sweet and compassionate, but also scared of many things. Scylla tells me I wear my heart on my sleeve, which doesn't make sense because I don't have sleeves. I turn into most animals, but never a human and never, EVER a dragon. Dragons are scary. Scylla wants me to try, but I can't!! My heart pounds really fast whenever I try.

Whoa, whoa, there. Tara died, correct. Maple/Stormrage, Lyra's CBer, is leaving CB due to a busy schedule and other things, and gave Lyra to Brooke. Hence this post.^
