AE Situation...

AE Situation...

So, I was looking back at when I first introduced Zeon and Quill. They seemed... different. I want to get all of your opinions on how they sounded then compared to now. Do you like their older selves, or more recent?

So to test this, I'm going to share a few lines from the Introducing... thread of mine where they first came about. Think about how they sound. Then compare it to now (I won't share recent lines, they talk everywhere now in a general voice).

First ever conversation with my AEs (note, these are only parts of it).

SEGMENT 1 OF CONVERSATION: 

Insanity level 1-10 (1 being calm): 3

I am not no 3! You are the insane one, missy.

Calm down, Quill. I told you to be nice to people just this morning. 

Other: Talks in italics... as you can obviously tell.

I talk in italics? Talking in italics is grammatically incorrect. One does not simply talk in italics, it is for thoughts and memories and-

And I get it, Quill. Now please be quiet so I can introduce Zeon.

I hate Zeon. That little...

*Covers Quill's mouth*

SEGMENT 2 OF CONVERSATION:

Personality: He is the complete opposite of Quill and myself. Zeon is rude, pesky, little thing that won't ever be quiet. 

Says who? I am always quiet! My middle NAME is quiet! Silent! See, I am quiet! I AM QUIET!! 

Ignore him. He also likes to speak in opposites from time to time. Besides being insane, annoying, prankster, and chatterbox, Zeon loves, loves video games. Especially WoW , Block Ops II, Call of Duty Ghosts, and Minecraft.

Other: Talks in bold. 

Insanity level 1-10 (1 being calm): 9 or 10. Depending on the day, but it doesn't really make a difference. He is the crazy one. 

Oh, I am the CRAZY one, now, hmm? HMM? 

I didn't mean it as an insult, Zeon. You're my favorite little bug.

Well, you are my favorite little bug too because I step on you. *Steps on my foot* You be dead now, buggy!

Just ignore him... Just ignore him. Finally, I have my little Poofball CAPTCHA.

Umm... See, that is my problem RIGHT there. He was rude, pesky, little thing. Now? Zeon is one of the sweetest AEs you'll ever meet. Thing is, I wonder if that is bad. You know, that I changed him so much from then to now.

And Quill...? She was a stuck-up snob. Now she is a little cold, shy, but very nice once you get to meet her. And intelligent. And... so... different than before.

So please tell me what you guys think. Admin, your suggestions/comments are welcome as well.

Ashlee, I really think it's up to you. Which personalities do you like better? In my humble opinion, if you drifted off into their current personalities, maybe that's what they should be. I like all the personalities they show; I don't have a preference. If you wanted to, you could make 1-2 more AEs to express their old personalities. And it's totally not bad to change their personalities! I realize not all AEs express their CBs different personalities, but AE's that do change. Why? Because people can change their personality. Not all at once; but little by little. I think that's what happened to you. I am sorry if this post was confusing. I love your AE's!

Not at all confusing, and thank you! This is just what I was looking for. It makes sense, I see, that I suppose I have changed slightly in who I am. Therefore, so have Zeon and Quill. I'd consider making another AE with sort of the old, more insane personality of Zeon, but I... *swallows hard* can't. Ummm... DtE has an "Announcement" I wrote. It explains why.

I agree with Elmodaisy. You should choose what you think is the right kind of "AE type" for you. Right now, I love your AE's! They have their own peculiar personality type, and the best thing is that YOU made them. :) Good luck!

A similar thing happened to me while I was at camp. Donut used to be slightly sassy, but now she's sweet. Also, she got powers. Crysti used to be nice, but now she talks in a sophisticated tone and thinks that she is too good for everyone. And Cheerio, I can up with her two days ago. XD

I think that it's kind of fun when AEs change. You get to challenge your writing style. :)
