Hey everyone!

Hey everyone!

So I'm not going to be around much for the next two weeks. I'm flying to Maine for vacation! Woohoo! Anyways, I probably won't really be able to post on the rps that I'm in, so I'll try to write some before I leave. See you guys later!

Have an awesome time in Maine, Shadowmoon! Please send me pictures!

Leafpool, you live in Portland?!!! Have you ever gone out to Big Diamond or Little Diamond Island? What sort of Grocery stores do they have there? Do people live on the Islands? Is there a boat called The Bay Mist that is part of the Casco Bay Lines???

Thanks guys! You guys are awesome!

Leafpool, I think we might actually be going to Portland. Our friends' dad works at a church that was planted there maybe 3-5 years ago. I'm not sure what it's called.... I'll have to ask.

Um, there's a ton of churches around in Portland, so I don't know which one you're talking about.

*hugs* You guys are awesome!

Leafpool, I think it's called Crosspoint or something. And let me just say.... Maine is AWESOME!!!!! Instead of the 90 degree weather like at home, there's, like 60 degree weather! It's AMAZING!!!! And everything's so different! The roofs, for one thing. They're either like barn roofs or steep roofs, or very shallow roofs. My dad says it's to keep off the snow or something. And the arcitecture is really different! Lots of stone. I love all the windflowers, and the trees are even different! Right now we're a few hours north of Portland. We're staying at this farm, and it's really cool! They have cows, chickens, horses, and a whole lot of gardens! The back porch has a BEAUTIFUL view of fields, chickens, horses, gardens, and mountains. We went to a park yesterday, and there was this large area of rock. It formed all of these cool crevasses and cracks, and it kept stretching for AGES. It was really cool, because it was next to the sea, and it kept beating up on the rocks and making these huge plumes of spray. We also found lots of crabshells from seagulls (may their little crabby souls rest in peace) and sea urchins, and live mussels, and these cool sea plants (seaweed maybe?) and I found a sea urchin's empty shell, and there were barnacles everywhere and it was awesome! Then we went hiking in this forest with really springy ground. It was really pretty; everything was covered in moss. Ok, I'm done rambling. Hope I haven't bored you to death XD. I just wanted to say how cool and different I think Maine is!

Oh yeah, and the cabins we're staying in has Wi-fi, so I'll be able to post occasionally! Yay!

Was it Acadia National Park you visited, Shadowmoon? I was there last year. We loved it! I could watch waves crashing on the rocky coast forever!

Yes! It was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! We went swimming at that sandy beach, then we went to Echo Lake. I love how blue the water is, and the layers of mist that hover in front of the mountains. I loved it! I'd love to go back to Acadia someday!

OOoooh. How cold was the water? That sandy beach is beautiful, but we didn't go into the water.

Acadia? We went camping there last summer. It was AWESOME!!!!!! The campground was really nice. And yeah, Maine is like the BEST PLACE EVER (in my opinion).

Sorry it took me so long to respond to this! Vacation, don't ya know. ;D And agreed! Maine is awesome! Although I hear the winters are brutal.....

So, yesterday I ate a lobster for the first time. It was an..... Interesting experience. That I'd rather not repeat. I'm not a hardcore seafood person.....

Ok, moving on! So yesterday we also went to Bay Harbor. CUTEST TOWN EVER!!!!!! We shopped for souvenirs, and I got a hooded sweatshirt that said Maine on it. We walked around a bit, investigated the library, etc. It was really fun, and really interesting.

Today, though, today was the best. We went to the Acadia amusement park thingy. (Sorry, I wasn't really paying attention to the name XD) They had to-carts, a put put course, a HUGE ropes course, trampolines, and water slides! It was SO FUN!!!! Have you ever been there, Leafpool?

OK, so I also wanted to ask some questions about Maine. What's it like having snow all the time? In  Georgia 1-2 inches once a year (if we're lucky enough to get snow at all) is a big deal. I'm curious if it gets old. And do you ice skate? And do you have snowplows, so you don't have to stay home from school? (Not that I'd really have to worry about that, #homeshoolersrule) The few times that it's actually kinda really snowed, nobody was prepared for it (blame the weather forecasters) and a whole lot of people got stuck in there cars on the road. It took my dad 3 hours just to get home from somewhere that it usually takes about 25 minutes to drive to.

Ok, I'm going to stop talking now, with the hope that I have not bored you to death XD

Shadowmoon, do you mean Bar Harbor? That's near Acadia National Park, so I suppose the amusement park, too. Good for you for trying lobster.
