Ok, I am

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Ok, I am

Ok, I am going to reveal my real name. *gulp* First, I want you guys to guess what it is. I'll give you a couple clues.

1) It starts with the letter F

2) It can be used as a boys name if you change one letter (and people always spell it the boys way and it drives me nuts)

3) Many famous saints share this name

4) It's not popular

5) There is a country that would be the same as my name, except it's missing the last letter

Guess away!

Nobody I know has the name Frances. EVERYBODY spells it wrong!! (Francis) Even my mom's friend who's name is Mary Frances (Haha, our names combined, Mary!) spelled it with an "i"!!!!!! I was once taking tennis lessons, and the teacher said to this one boy, "Go stand behind Frances." So this kid walks up to me and says, "Are you a boy?" I gave him a disgusted "NO." Then my cousin, who's a year younger than me, got SOOOO mad at him and went into a long explanation about how it's spelled with "e" for girls and "i" for boys. My older sister called me "CC" when I was a baby, so now my aunt calls me "CC of Assisi." I have a bajillion nicknames: Francie Face, Fransoople, Francisco, Francesca, France, F, Francie, Frankie......ok that's not a bajillion or even 10. hehee, now I'm the one rambling....

What's the boy's way to say Frances? Frences? No... ???? Anyways, are you still going by Mary Jo?

The male form is Francis, as in Francis Scott Key, who wrote "The Star-Spangled Banner." And Sir Francis Drake, the explorer.
