Does anyone else out there play any instruments?
I play violin. Fiddle, really. And I love it! A lot! My sister does it too, which is awesome. But every time I play it, I can't type for like thirty minutes afterwards because my fingers hurt REALLY BAD!!!!

I play the piano! I also started to learn the guitar from my dad, and I'm thinking it's going to be a summer project type thing. But I get what you mean about the hurt fingers-- same goes for the guitar!

Admin, that's so cool that you play violin.
I picked violin because my father played it and had a 3/4 size violin for me to begin on. Playing an instrument is something you can enjoy for your whole life. And, as a music teacher I know says, "Unlike in many sports, in orchestra and band, no one sits on the bench!" Everyone participates all the time. I'm not anti sports at all, but I'm a big supporter of music education for everyone. At milestone times of life, live music can play such an important part.

*waves hand* Ooh, me! I've been playing violin since I was six, and I love it so much! I also play cello (2 years) and piano (3 years) but they're really so I can learn some more theory, bass clef, nad become more versatile in music. Violin is where my heart is. Right now on violin I'm learning Corelli's La Folia. Look it up and listen to it! It's an amazing, beautiful, piece of music!

I play cello and piano. I'm really sad I moved though because my friend just emailed me that I got an award for orchestra. The director chose me as musician of the year!!!!!! I was so excited!!!! My friend told me she would mail me the certificate and medal that was the award but they haven't come yet. So yeah.
