How many of you CBers are allergic to something? I'm allergic to a bunch of things including peanuts, tree nuts, bees, spiders, grass, trees, most flowers, soymilk, carrots, all seafood, excluding clams, beets, cats, dogs, and books! ( Just kidding about that last one!)
Do you guys suffer from seasonal allergies too? Those are the worst!

Ugh, I have the worst seasonal allergies! I'm allergic to pollen in the spring and leaf mold in the fall. It stinks! I sneeze and cough a lot and all that other gross stuff that I won't go into. I'm also allergic to hand sanitizer. It gives me a rash where ever I use it. But you have way more allergies than me! Sorry about that. Are beets really a seafood, or were you kidding about that? What about dogs and cats?

To clarify, beets are not a seafood. I just meant that I'm also allergic to beets! ;) And I really am allergic to dogs and cats! :(

Wow! Kids these days have so many allergies!
Allergies are caused by their environment. Nowadays, people use way too much hand sanitizer and cleaning products, so their environment is too clean and their immune system isn't trained properly, so it freaks out over random things, like cats, dogs, and books XD.
Long story short...If you hate allergies and don't want your kids to have them, skip the cleaning products and put away the sanitizer.

That's not quite how it works... saying your children won't get allergies because you don't use hand sanitizer is completely false. It's the entire environment that we've created that's supposed to be sterile and clean that is causing us to get sick so much more easily.
1 in 3 people leaves the hospital with antibiotic resistant bacteria on them. It's terrifying. Unless we stop the ridiculous amount of protection, we won't have any anymore.
But you won't give your kids allergies literally by wearing hand sanitizer. That's more bacteria. In food, it's more that our bodies aren't meant to process certain foods and when you aren't exposed to it, it can cause a reaction similar to an unfamiliar bacteria entering your body.

You're right that it isn't all about the sanitizer…But sanitizer is part of the too-clean environment!

I have this weird genetic thing that makes me super allergic to bunnies, grass, and other things.
Seasonally I die every morning with my eyes swollen shut and my nose crusted shut.
When I touch many types of grass I break out into horrific hives immediately that itch for hours and nothing can fix.
And bunnies basically kill me LITERALLY.

Mei, that's actually hilarious, because I'M ALLERGIC TO HAND SANITIZER! Seriously! I never use it because it makes me break out in a rash! Thus I won't be getting anymore allergies because I'm allergic to the thing that causes the allergies! XD

I'm about to find out all the many things I'm allergic to when I take a test someday in the future. For now, I had Cold Urticaria when I was little, but I grew out of it.
