Since you're new, I'll give you that [I never said welcome!!! AHH!!! Welcome!! :D], but after a few ridiculous aruguments, we try not things like Global Warming [which I don't believe in!!], and Creation versus evolution. Oh, and we also don't discuss politics anymore [we actually got a note from the Admin suggesting for us not to!!!!]. :):):) Sorry about that!!! Oh, but I do agree with you on what you said!!!! :):):) And, welcome! :D

Before I go all insane and weird I want to say welcome....ok, insane and weird time:
Do NOT start with Global Warming!!!! Please! I know that you're new, so you didn't know this, but if you bring up Global Warming we willl all go insane. I myself, a very strong believer, will not go on this thread again because I will end up offending a lot of people. (By the way, Paige, I'm reallyreallyreally sorry about that.)

I agree. I WAS gonna say something, but I got scared because people can get VERY angry when I talk about global warming (WHICH SHOULD ACTUALLY BE CALLLED CLIMATE CHANGE BECAUSE IT'S GETTING COLDER WHERE IT IS COLD, AND HOTTER WHERE IT IS HOT!!!!) But please don't respond to that. I couldn't help myself. Sorry for that rant. (The moving smiley is form the MuseBlog)
But anyway, WELCOME! We have pies ready for you! ========[}

Oh, come on, give Jean a break. DtE is for talking "about the world around you" and this "issue" certainly goes in that category. I personally do not think it is a problem, or even real.
1. The Earth has been warming up for thousands of years. Why is it suddenly a problem?
2. If not for "global warming," America would be millions of miles of frozen plains.
3. While I'm at it: scientific studies have proven that polar bear populations are rising, but we're going to be dependent on foreign oils forever if we wait for the baby seals. (Sorry, pet peeve.)
4. And my mantra: IT'S A CYCLE (disregard caps lock and bold abuse). Studies have proven this, there is statistical evidence: Every ten years or so the Earth alternately incalescences (spelling?) or cools. Look it up; proven fact.
But if the Administrator doesn't want political discussion- fine. Administrator's word is law. *firm nod*

THANK YOU, JENNI T.!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe cows have a part in contributing to global warming. Since people breed cows to kill for meat (I stick up for cows and pigs and chickens and any animal who is killed for food...), the cows breathe out so much carbon dioxide that the gasses around the planet are thinning. For those who think that global warming is just a cycle and that humans can adapt to it, well, the planet is getting warmer too fast for humans to adapt to it. Even if we do manage to adapt to it, then some animal might not, and that could throw off the whole food chain. And if you don't want to believe in global warming, then you could still want a clean planet 'cause pollution has something to do with global warming. Talking about polution, did you know that recycling just one soda can can preserve as much energy to power your TV for 3 hours? I learned that from a book. And--well, I could keep on going forever. So just look it up online, okay?
