Is it just
Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Is it just
Is it just my bias and imagination, or do Chinese last names always make the name nicer?
Like, take for example, two characters I can think of off of the top of my head. Frank Zhang (Jong, NOT Zayng) from Heroes of Olympus and Cho Chang (Chong, NOT Chayng) from Harry Potter. When I see the name Frank, I think of it as just an ordinary name that I don't really like. But with the surname Zhang added to it, it looks really mysterious and awesome. Same with the name Cho Chang. Even if the first name… Wasn't… You know, so careless, I would still feel that the last name dresses it up. I suppose the only names I like that end in O are Japanese names, and that one's obviously too short to be one. But the names together, Cho Chang, IT IS SO PRETTY!!!!! Chang. Chang. Cho Chang.
Chang.
Chang.
Chang.
Why is it so cute?
Chang.
Zhang.
Chang.
Zhang.
Chang.
Zhang.
It's probably just my imagination, since Chang and Zhang are Chinese names. What do you guys think?

Zhang is cuter than Chang, but I love Cho's first name. Even if it isn't actually Chinese.
Cho.
Zhang.
Cho.

I think Chang is cuter, but Zhang is cooler.
(April 28, 2016 - 4:20 pm)
Hm....Not really.
My English-thinking brain pronouces it as Cang and Zang, which doesn't sound that pleasent. So thus Cho Chang equals Chow Cang.
Terrible, yes, l know.

Really, Shadow?
(April 28, 2016 - 9:02 pm)
Yes, really. It's sad, l know.
l mean, how do you pronounce it? Co? Chu?
(April 28, 2016 - 10:41 pm)
Ch-o.
(April 29, 2016 - 9:30 am)
And Chang is pronounced "Chong".
(April 29, 2016 - 2:02 pm)
If I understand correctly, to pronounce Cho Chang, it is
"Ch-oh Ch-ah-ng"
All together, of course.

Eh....
My English brain does not compute. l now know how it's pronounced, but it wouldn't stick. You are still Chow Cang to me, Cho.
Oh, and Mei, would you like to know how l would pronouce your name? Me-zoo. Prime example of how Shadow has no idea how anything sounds.

Wow! That is so far off! Lol, I'm glad we aren't talking in real life, because I'd be covering my ears right now.
I have the pronunciation in the name box, though, so...

I'm actually pretty good at guessing what Chinese pronunciations actually are, but there's a few misses here and there.
For example, when I first looked at your name, I'd think "May-Xue". Yeah, one hit and a miss. Ohzewell.
