Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Hi.So. I was

Hi.

So. I was just reading a bunch of posts and I realized... I have no personality whatsoever on the CB.

My name, age, and location are all... real. Not fake. Not from a book. Not clever. So I thought I'd just kind of... introduce myself. The real me. I haven't been trying to be a different person or anything, it's just been... happening. Whenever I want to say something that could be even slighty offensive, I just post under a different name. And for pete's sake, I have a SANE AE!!!

So, here's me:

Hi! I'm Joss. I'm 13 years old. I am a Christian, and I'm proud of it. I also am obsessed with acting and singing. I like dolls and doll stuff. But you guys already know this stuff...

What you don't know is that when I try to impress my crush, I end up recalling how I ate cheesecake off the floor.

What you don't know is that I talk so loudly that people comment on how loud I am.

What you don't know is that I care so, so much about what people think of me, that I lie awake at night thinking about if I said something wrong.

What you don't know is that at sleepovers, I get super hyper and crazy because staying up late+SUGAR+giggling+friends=I'm the craziest person there.

Speaking of giggling, I do that A LOT.

What you don't know is that although I'm never funny, I'm always the one laughing.

What you don't know is that actually, I can be funny in a sarcastic way, but only usually when I'm around adults.

What you don't know is that I love it when I am acutally friends with a guy-not having a crush on him. Just friends.

What you don't know is that I love taking selfies with friends!

What you don't know is that I also love photobombing the selfies my other friends are taking.

What you don't know is that on days when I am depressed, I still laugh at funny things and I'm still cheerful. But I'm depressed.

What you don't know is that I'm scared to sing high in chest voice because what if my voice cracks?

What you don't know is that I love pretzels and icing, although my parents never let me eat them.

What you don't know is that Rosalina is obviously the best princess, but Peach and Daisy exclude her from all the princessy stuff.

What you don't know is that my iPod case was this adorable cute pink cat that was EATING MY iPOD!!! (It was sooo cute!) ...until my iPod wouldn't charge and we had to take it to the cell phone repair place and they took it apart and they couldn't fix it and then I bought a phone but it doesn't have cell service so it's not really a phone and it basically functions like an iPod and I'm pretty sure this is a run on sentence now.

What you don't know is that my room hasn't changed in five years. I want to change it, I'm just too lazy.

What you don't know is I love going outside in the morning before school, and listening to the birds chirping and the stillness of it all. It's beautiful. Until my mom makes me go to school.

What you don't know is that Samourott is the best Pokemon ever.

Well, know you know stuff. Congratulations! Thanks for listening to me.

What you most likely know i'm HUGE book worm.

What you don't know is that I hav bad spelling and fix it right befoe I post be causebI'm self-concious. (That was me not spell-checking. I also spell check because I sometimes get annoyed by people who don't. But really, they're the brave ones of us with bad spelling.)

What you don't know is that I'M GOING TO BE IN A PRODUCTION OF INTO THE WOODS THIS SUMMER!!!!!

What you don't know is that I'm pretty sure everyone in my class thinks I'm a know-it-all. I raise my hand. A lot.

What youv'e probably assumed is that I like The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I don't though, sorry Cho.

I love political comedians, Adele, Emlie Sande, and my intrest for Marvel is growing.

I'm not popular, and don't (think) I want to be.

I overthink EVERYTHING.

I don't stand up for someone until it's too late.

I also like Thai food.

I want to switch schools, but I live in a high income nieghborhood and my scores need to be higher.

I've never gotten all As on a report card. (All As and one B, yes).

I really want you all to come to Chicago.

I love modern mythology and Historical Fanatasy.

I didn't assume you were a Tolkienite, and I don't know why I would assume that …

But hey, new Marvel Fangirl! *high fives* Let's go and hang out sometime, eh?

I'll make my own thing though.

You don't know that I prefer ice cream half way melted.

You don't know that I want to be an extremely famous author/singer/artist.

You don't know I hardly play with most of my toys anymore, much as I would like to.

You don't know that I'm now an outcast in many social environments for kids, since I act so mature around people I don't know well.

You don't know that I use my writing, art and singing as an outlet for all my sad feelings to go.

You don't know that I have three small plastic drawers which are full of random papers.

You don't know I roleplay with two of my friends in real life almost every time we see each other.

You don't know HOW FREAKING EXCITED I AM FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA CIVIL WAR!!! (Btw, Biblio, which side are you on? *eyes suspiciously*)

You don't know that I would LOVE to be on The Voice, even if I don't win.

Yeah, the tolkinite thing was badly-worded.

I also really, really want to be on the Voice!!!!!!!

I'm on Team Ironman, what about you???

I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!! Okay, not really, because I love you way too much, but you know. WHY WOULD YOU BE ON IRON MAN'S SIDE?! HE'S BRINGING A KID INTO THIS WAR!!! And he's a self opinionated jerk.

I understand that he's just trying to avenge his friend's death, but ... AND HE'S FOR REGISTRATION!!! IF THAT HAPPENS, IT WILL DESTROY THE AVENGERS!!!

Go hang out with Cron. He adores Iron Man for some reason. I dunno why. I AM A LOYAL FAN TO THE CAP SO ...

We're still friends. And this sounds weird. I hope you aren't offended. Luv ya girl!

I'm not a Marvel fangirl, but I have seen all of the movies (newer ones, anyhow). I didn't even know they were going against each other in the new Civil War movie! Kinda weird, but not surprising at the same time.

You know in the end they're gonna be forced to team up and fight against another catastrophic disaster, though.

Your post made me way happier than I was before I read it- I'm really, really not offended.

Oh, forgot to mention that I also believe Iron Man is a self-centered jerk, but in the trailer, I thought he was actually really mature.

Now that you mention it, yeah …

You don't know that I am actually pretty bad at Math, even though I'm trying.

You probably don't know is that I'm voraciously obssesed with the manga Case Closed, because it is the most amazing, emotional, suspensful series on EARTH!!

A thing you don't know is that I'm descended from Aaron Burr and Benedict Arnold. What a great family tree... but I do love Hamilton.

You may know that I love art and drawing, but you may not know I have a very bad doodling problem. I literally (and I mean that!) cannot have a blank piece of paper in my hands that I don't make little drawings on.

I don't like LOtR. Don't hate on me because of it, but I always found it kind of confuddling. I'm pretty up for Smaug, because I like all dragons, but the plot was just kind of... odd. I do like Harry Potter, though.

You may not think it, but I have never owned a phone or iPad or any technology like that. I am finally getting a phone for my birthday, though! About time.

I really, really dislike spicy food.

I cried at The Fault In Our Stars. The book, not the movie. I also wept at the part in Mockingjay Pt. Three where all the litte kids are torn from their mothers. It makes me sad just thinking about it.

You may not know that I am a lover of words and a natural editor who can't leave an "i dont think thats right Becky" untouched, and have to make it "I don't think that's right, Becky".

I am Christian, but more because of my parents and tend to lean more towards and atheist.

So there are some facts acbout me.

I know, I was simply referencing two of Tolkein's stories. Sorry if that was confusing.

I'll try this, I guess.

What you don't know is that I'm very overly obsessed with chinchillas. Honestly, ask me any question about them and I can answer. Look up pictures of them, they're flipping adorable.

What you don't know is that my signature attack move is jumping on people's backs and screaming really loudly and high pitched in their ears. It's quite effective, ask my neighbors.

What you don't know is I like frog legs. It seems disgusting, but they taste literally exactly like fried chicken. I'm a picky eater, but I try all foods (I just typically don't like them).

What you don't know is I plan on having a dog (a toy fox terrier to be exact) when I grow up and naming it Samosa, even though I don't even like samosas.

What you don't know is that I don't own any video games, but my neighbor and friend Maia does, so sometimes I'll play with her. Also my cousins have just about every single video game, so every year when they visit from California I play a lot. Rosalina is the best princess. But I always play as Jiggly Puff.

What you don't know is that every Wednesday I go to youth group for church, which is basically a full on rock concert, except the songs are Christian. We have smoke machines, cool light, electric guitars, etc. We also play awesome games to get points such as throwing chicken nuggets into people's mouths, throwing paper airplanes, making houses out of card and tape, and tying ourselves together with toilet paper then racing around the building. It's quite fun.
