HELP!!!! I'm getting braces next week, and I don't know if I should be happy, or terrified!

*gasps*

Breathe.

Right. Anyways, I'm getting braces because it was almost time for me to get them, and because we might be moving to Okinawa, Japan soon. And in Japan, they don't do braces unless it's an emergency, or when the dental work has already been started elsewhere. (In this case, America) I'm a little scared, since I don't know what to expect!

And I know a lot of you cbers have had braces before, so could you guys please help me out so that I know what to expect?

Thank you for your time and clicking this thread!

If you'll move to Japan, you'll need to learn the language, right?

Tips:

Repetition is key. Writing characters over and over will stamp them in your mind.

Make up silly stories to remember the characters.

Finding out their Chinese roots and origins and radicals will help a TON.

Not necessarily. We'll be living in Okinawa, which is a military base. So I wouldn't HAVE to, but it might be a good idea. Thanks.

J.K. Rowling should have been more careful.
