Guess what, everybuggy?
Guess what, everybuggy? Today is my 1/2 CBversary!
*confetti*
Okay, okay, that's not really a thing. But I was pretty bamboozled to discover I had been on CB for SIX. WHOLE. MONTHS. Somehow, I feel like I've been here FOREVER and yet no time at all. Isn't that really odd?
So anyway, the point of this thread was because I was wondering something. I've been calling myself a "newbie". At what point do you un-become a newbie? It's just something I've been curious about for a while. I don't want to start up an argument, just what do you guys think??

Honestly? It doesn't matter. You become an "un-newbie" whenever you want to.
Although, l guess, in the sense of terms, l am a "middlie", next month l wil have been here for a year.

Congrats! I know I feel like I've been on CB for years and years, but I've only been on for about 1 and a half years. Was I really nine when I started? Wow. I think you're not really considered a newbie after about 3 or 4 months. You're definitely not a newbie, I can't even remember when you joined, but it feels like you've been on forever. Same with me, I guess, all though I can very clearly remember when I joined. Ah, memories.

That's awesome, Abigail! And yeah, I've tried to discontinue using the terms "newbie" and "middlie" and "oldie" but if you really want to know, I've always thought of you as a "middlie." It seems like you've been here a lot longer than six months =)
I joined on April 30th, 2014, so my 2nd CBversary will be coming up soon-ish.

I joined on May 8th or 9th. My first CBversary is in two months and my birthday is a few days later!

I joined a month ago. *sigh*
but anyway, YAAAAAAAAY FOR YOUUUUUU!!!
But yes, I've noticed that internet time feels longer than reality. I used to play this game, and for every day that passed, it felt like a week passed. And for every week a month, etc.
I've noticed that on other sites as well. It's very interesting, almost like another dimension. O.o
*lightbulb!*
New book idea? Eh?

Congrats, Abigail! I'm so happy for you!

Whooooa. Abigail's only been on the CB for half a year?
My mind is officially exploding.
Seriously, I always imagined you came before me! But apparently not. Happy half-CBversary, Abi!

Aw, thanks, St! (And everyone else!)
Me? Coming before you? Well, that's a new one! :)

I think it's my half CBversary too... let's see... i joined in September, no beginning of October, i think....so that would mean i've been here for *calculating* five months. so next month will be my half CBversary! If I remember correctly, which I might not have. oh well.
Hapy Half Cbversary Abigail! I am also wondering about the newbie question. I call myself a newbie because I don't post constantly and a lot of people forget I'm here, so I guess after I post more I can officialy be un-newbieafied.

Happy 1/2 CBversary! I regret to inform you that you misused the word "bamboozled." It means "fooled" or "tricked." However, it is among my favorite words and I appreciate your acknowledgement that it exists.
I myself considered myself an "UnNewbie" after my first couple weeks here. I think once you grasp everything and everyone in the CB and understand it, then you're not new anymore. If you've been here for half a year, you're DEFINITELY not new anymore.
