Admins are online! How nice. Be sure to get some sleep soon.
How are you doing, Late Night/Weekend Admin?
Also, thanks for the art/photo upload system. It's a cool new feature.
I'm doing well, thank you. But I went offline and am getting this the next day, late afternoon.

Oh well, hullo Ruby. Nice to see you.
l am here (duh) as well as many others. Some of the older CBers have come to drift around. l am currently engaged in writing.....things, and probably should be going to sleep.
(February 22, 2016 - 1:08 am)
Describe these things in great detail.
(February 22, 2016 - 7:48 pm)
Well, l should rather say, procrastination of writing things, those things being a science fiction novel (which is currently at 17k).
The procrastination-ahem-writing of which mainly contains staring at a blank wall, getting distracted by new, shiny ideas, and wondering how much l can write without any inkling of the plot. Right now l am advoiding even looking at the draft.

Hi Ruby. Good to see you. I'm here, but I'm not sure if you know me. I like skiing, art, reading, ice cream, dragons, and turtles.
(February 22, 2016 - 5:10 pm)
Yeah, I remember you. Nice to see you again.
What's skiing like? Is it fun? I've read about it, but all the stories assumed the reader had a vague understanding of snow and not Never Ending Drought.
Do you have a turtle? I want to see a photo of your turtle, if you have one.

Hi! I'm here, I guess. What's concerning me is the upcoming presidential election, why we have to write paragraphs and paragraphs in math class on why our answer is reasonable, and what's for dinner with those rolls I saw my mom putting in the oven. My interests include YouTube, music, reading/writing, gymnastics and annoying Ellie, my 13 year old sister who suddenly became a moody teenager. When did that happen?
(February 22, 2016 - 5:50 pm)
--Ellie's thirteen? When did that happen? Time moves way too fast.
Hmm, it's nice to see that middle schoolers and young high schoolers are getting involved in the election, despite not being able to vote. If you could vote, who would you vote for and why?
I don't know what math you're in. It sounds like either Geometry or a new compenent of common core. There's a good reason for both of those to have math paragraphs.
What Youtube channels do you like?
(February 22, 2016 - 7:37 pm)
Ellie turned 13 in October. As for the election, I'm in elementary school, but I suppose I would vote for Ted Cruz because even though I don't entirely agree with him, a lot of the other candidates are even worse. Hillary Clinton would be the least likely for me, since I don't just disagree with her, she's s criminal, and I want the first girl president to be awesome not a jerk like her. The math is unit rate stuff. It's suffocatingly easy, but the teacher makes it ten times more hard with checks, explanations, and other useless things. For YouTube, I watch iiSuperwomanii, Maybaby, PhyscoSoprano, and Zoella, although not all at once sometimes I'll forget about a few for a few months then get back to them. Bye now!
(February 23, 2016 - 7:25 am)
Yeesh. I remember when Ellie was so young... It's been a long time. Yikes. Time passes to fast. Don't ever get old, Savvy. Like Humpty Dumpty says, leave off at seven if you can.
Hmm. I see. I'm about six months too young to vote, and I honeslty don't know who to vote for either, assuming I could vote. Clinton isn't an honest politician, but she's not completely inept in politics and would likely not cause much harm in foreign policy, is my thought. Among Republican candidates, I have a healthy appreciation for Rand Paul and Bush, but they dropped out, of course. I suppose I'd pick Rubio. Carson and Trump are too inept, and I shamefully haven't been following up on Kaesich. I'm not sure how to spell his name even, as you can see.
Huh. Sounds weird. Okay, on second thought, I don't know why you have to do that. Some things in Common Core requiring writing are necessary for number theory, but this doesn't look to be, so who knows, Savvy? Nobody knows.
I know absolutely none of them, haha. If I get some free time, I'll look them up.

Dare to call me a kid, do you? Well. I'm personally offended. I do, however, appreciate your lack of enthusiasm and exclamation marks. I'm Scylla. Nice to meet you.
(February 22, 2016 - 6:38 pm)
Good. If a day goes by without offending someone, I'm not doing my job.
I call anyone under 18 a kid, though, so don't get worked up about it, unless you're over 18. In which case, I'll call you an old fart.
I got all my enthusiasm out yelling at someone on a different website. It's a mock trial, so we have to yell a lot, throw bread at the defense, call for fights between the defendant and the plaintiff, and make all actual mock trial competitors really mad because there's no sense of order in it.
Nice to meet you too.

Wow. This is very relaxed for seeing the famed Ruby again. So I will refrain from the use of exclimation points and all caps.
Hi, Ruby. You probably don't know me-- I don't know you very well, either, really-- but you're a bit of a legend in the CB and I was around for your last few posts. So I recognize you.
Anyway, I'm St.Owl. I love Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, The Hunger Games, and Inkheart, I'm currently reading LotR, and I'm a Wholockian-in-training. I play the piano and (like everyone else here) I write, and write, and write. I play baseball and soccer. And I'm sounding really, really boring.
This is not what I'm usually like. I like exclimation points. Exclimation points are good, you see. Very good.
(February 22, 2016 - 6:49 pm)
Well, it was around 10 or 11 p.m. when I posted it. I don't mind if you use caps, though.
I do know you. I remember you very well. You had the owl alter egos. Devil Owl was pretty fun. It's nice to see you again.
How's LotR going? It's really thick stuff, so don't worry if you can't get through it on the first try. What parts do you like best about it? Are the films (if you've seen them) better or worse? If you like sci fi and LotR works out for you, try reading Dune in a few years. It's hard to get through, but really rewarding.
Your hobbies sound like great fun. How long have you been in baseball and soccer? What position do you play?
(February 22, 2016 - 7:43 pm)
Sorry, Grammar Police. Spelling is not strong in this body.
Ruby: Wow, I can't believe you remember me! Unfortunately Saint Owl's gone now-- made quite a bit of trouble, it even got bloody-- but I've got another AE now, Feather, who's... the exact opposite of Dev. He's the hunter now.
Anyway, I'm not very far in at all. I find the character development to be a little iffy-- Gandalf, at least so far, is just... well, Gandalf-- and I'm laughing at the "Dark Lord" and wondering if JK Rowling got Voldemort's title from that, and the rings are a fantastic idea. I haven't seen the films-- we have a rule in our house (that is mostly abided by): You can't watch the movie until you've read the books. Besides, my parents don't really like the Hobbit movies. I still want to try one. Can't judge it 'till you've watched it.
I think this is going to be my seventh year of baseball and I just finished my third year of soccer. I play mostly outfield and second base for baseball and goalie and defense for soccer.
Huh. You know, I rather like this calm, non-shouting conversation.
