I'm kinda jealous because I was just reading some CB posts about how some CBers are (or were) so popular and so many people know about them. Oh well.

Those people weren't famous. They were well-known because of the unique flavor they brought to the CB. I know exactly what you mean. I sometimes feel like people who just seem to get in more drama than people like me who just sort of stay on the CB. Like leaving and coming back, for instance. A couple of people did it, and now it seems like everyone is hanging around telling them they're amazing because they don't want them to leave. Because of this, it seems like they're not really bothering to appreciate the people who didn't really want to leave in the first place.
I guess there isn't much I could do about it, and it doesn't really matter. Just another thing I need to learn to grow up on.

Older CBers are appreciated just as much as newer ones. The "oldies" (I hate these labels but I will use them here because it's a lot shorter than wrtiting, "more experienced CBers") have just had more time to make their special mark on CB. And it's okay to wish you could be as well known as them someday, and you probably will. EVERYONE IS AWESOME, and AMAZING, and brings a new element of creativity to CB.
@Indigo: As well, I think that people put too much stock in those who have left. I guess you don't appericiate things as much until you lose them. As for leaving and coming back, I doubt that those people did that just to get attention. They can have legitimate reasons for going away. They could be busy or whatever. For a while (a week or two), I "left" but not intentionally, I just had too much to do to have time to get on CB.

Leafmist, I never encourage jealousy and usually stay out of it, but I had to say something this time. When I think of the CB, the first seven CBers I think of are. . . .

You shouldn't feel jealous. Everyone has different skills, talents, and works to offer to the CB and that's what makes it so amazing. Everyone's equal, no one's "superior" in any way, and we all can be friends.* Leafmist, you are an eloquent author. If you think you want to leave, I won't stop you, but know now that you'd be missed.
*Virtually, of course. I don't know any of you, and cannot say if I'd really be your friend or not.

Thanks, S.E. Leafpool, I hope you don't feel jealous. I get it that now with more CBers and the general habit of not staying long (coming on, then fading off) it's harder to feel like you know everyone and everyone knows you. But the thing with jealousy is that it means you hate the person because of whatever good thing they are/have. And it's not the "old" CBers' "fault" if they had a great community.
Admiration? Sure. Wishing that the CB could be a teense more like that? Sure, if you think that.
And maybe, Leafpool, you're getting a lot of hate for saying "jealous" and maybe you didn't mean that. But if you are really jealous... remember that jealousy really is hate. And I hope you don't hate us/them.

Yeah I'm not famous. If i'm mentioned at all it's ... never. But I'm still here and sometimes when I talk to people they talk back. so don't worry about being famous because...we all are in our own right
