CB Cabin 2.0 Camp NaNoWriMo in April
Hey everyone,
It's Air, back from the (kinda) dead. I know it's December and nowhere near April yet, but I'm super excited already and I wanted to beta an idea with you writerly CBers.
Last year, I participated for the first time in Camp NaNoWriMo in April and July. Teresa, who is absolutely amazing, let me participate in her cabin filled with awesome older CBers whose praises I can't sing enough.
However, cabins are small: only 12 campers. There are so, so, so many CBers with whom I'd love to write this coming April who weren't able to get into Teresa's CB cabin
Basically, I'd like to make another CBer cabin, focusing on middlies/newbies (not to be prejudiced) this April so that more and more CBers can chat! I was wondering who might be interested in this, whether you've never done Camp before (you have to be 13 years old or older by April/July) or if you have but haven't been in Teresa's cabin.

This is going to sound very ignorant, and I'm really sorry, but what is Camp Nanowrimo or Nanowrimo?

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. It takes place in November. Quite basically you have a word count goal and try to write that many words [as a novel] in the month of November. They have YWP-or Young Writer’s Program- which is for people under 13-the regular website is for people 13 and over.
Camp NaNoWriMo takes place in April or June and is the same as in November, except you join a cabin of writers and can talk with them and it is generally more relaxed than in November.
l, myself, have only participated in November (as l am not old enough to do Camp,) of which l wrote 70,000 words :)

This sounds really cool, Air! If you don't mind, I would like to join your CB Cabin in April. However, I don't even know if I'm doing it...At this point in time, though, it sounds like something I would want to do, so please put me down, and I will let you know if I don't end up doing Camp NaNoWriMo in April.

NaNo sounds really cool, but I would have to do YWP. I'll be 11 in April, and 12 in May. I'm definitely going to do it someday, but I'll probably wait until I know more about it and until I can do Nano with you guys.

I would love to join the cabin! I have never done Camp Nano before so I don't know how it works. Can I use the same account that I have on the ywp site or do I have to make a new one? Also I'm not sure if any of my friends at my school are going to do it but if they do then I might want to be in a cabin with them. I'm still not sure though. We'll see...

Pheh. I'm only eleven. Darn! I haven't even done NaNo before, I actually heard about it on CB, but I was thinking of doing it. Maybe next November.

I'd love to do it, except I know nothing about Camp NaNo, and I am 10 now, and will only be 11 in April. I am so tempted to cheat and just say I'm 13.
